Probably not the worst game of all time but the most personally insulting. This is the sequel to my second favorite game of all time. Earns its spot as my first and currently only half star on backloggd

Legendary game. My friends and I used to come over my house and play this game every Friday and it never got old. Amazing roster, great music, and gameplay is kind of just RNG but that's okay, it makes it more fun. The sheer number of Donkey Kong characters is much appreciated also. Funky Kong hits the ball with a surfboard and Donkey Kong just punches it.

The best mod of any video game and the best platform fighter ever made. Knuckles is the most fun I've had in a smash game
So close to a 10 but you just had to bring back Mewtwo's tail hurtbox. And also add Min Min from ARMS. And then make Minecraft Steve the next Bayonetta. And then not add Crono from Chrono Trigger.
Real talk though, Smash Ultimate probably has the greatest personal impact to me of any video game. A good half of my friends were met directly by attending New England Smash events, and while I don't really go to those that much anymore, it's hard to overstate the impact this game had on my social life. I mean sure, most of the greater community for this game grooms kids but not themselves, but local scenes are where I found some of my greatest friends. The smash series as a whole has changed my life for the better and I'd be insane to make a top 10 games of all time list and not include Super Smash Brothers Ultimate.

my friend group was collectively going through a huge danganronpa phase when i played this in like 2020 and even then the only reason i kept going thru this game was bc i like the song that goes "mmm yeah yeah uh uh uh yeaaah" and ball monokuma

as many others have said, the next sonic game is going to be so amazing. this game, for a sonic game released post-2010, is wildly amibitous and huge, despite sonic team probably being rushed on a low budget. if they work with the foundation built by this game, and are allowed more money and time by sega, sonic could truly be back.

i expected the fourth wall breaking to be corny as shit but it was honestly incredibly well implemented, i'm very surprised. also i was expecting to dislike niko and got an incredibly charming and lovable character. expectations thoroughly subverted, this game's legit
