Like everyone else this was my childhood. But I don't remember ever playing it as much as most others. I missed out on a lot by mostly ignoring interaction with others in favor of the puffle collection or playing the minigames, which I did quite enjoy all of them. I'm sad to see it gone as it still was a big part of my childhood, but I don't think I'd be playing it much if it was still up now. I feel like this is one of those games I might have kinda grew up from, at least more so in comparison to other games, especially when most of the interaction is with younger people. Again I need to say that this was an excellent game though, we may never see anything like it again and that's hard to think about.

Me and my dad got this thinking it would have a good zombies mode :(
Rating this game on zombies alone I actually think it's a 0/10. there isn't a single saving grace within this entire mode. It felt so soulless and the entire time there was just this constant droning of player characters talking and lore trying to be dumped on me and the specialist gods or whatever saying shit every time you do anything and each objective has to be explained EVEN AFTER DOING THEM MULTIPLE TIMES.

Even without zombies the campaign lost my interest a few missions in and the multiplayer while actually really fun at first quickly got me burnet out after like 3 weeks. The FOMO the game had built into it made me feel like taking even a few day brake caused me to miss out on something and so after I took a long break I never wanted to get back on.

Visual storytelling here is INSANE. I can not believe this is a Doom mod the tricks and effects it pulls of within the game are unbelievable. Unfortunately it was too cryptic and difficult for me to 100% it on my own, and as such was kind of spoiled on a lot of its strongest parts. Would recommend everyone to go into this blindly if they can.

I hated having to put real faces into this game when I was younger, whole game just made me just feel "eughhhhhhhhh"

I couldn't get past most the games levels when I was younger but I can tell it was a good game regardless

I feel like certain moments of this game will be forever ingrained within my head. It definitely isn’t the best resident evil but it’s one of the most memorable. The save room music gives off an indescribable aura of calmness, loneliness, and longing that I can’t explain.

I do wish the resources like saves weren’t so limited, or even had to be limited at all, it made me feel forced to use a guide to progress lest I want to run out of saves and have a near unbeatable save file that makes me feel like it’s just best to start over and conserve resources better.

2017

Would be better if I didn't have to download ubisoft connect just to play the game I GOT ON STEAM

You do NOT want to get into this games daily grind. It absolutely ruined me, the goofy visuals and stupid music feel made to make you eventually go insane. The game is forced to infinitely balloon in size as it's horrendous monetization modal requires them to add new characters every 3 weeks. That means the games meta changes every 3 weeks as each character has to be better or at least on par with the last or else they serve no purpose. The game doesn't have a compelling story or good gameplay so after awhile I just had to ask myself why I was even still competing in this endless rat race. Over a year of grinding and I can't really say much besides Macaron is best character and I never want to see Timekeeper meta in any game ever again.

I played this for free and still felt scammed.

This games good is really good and this games bad is REALLY bad. The amount of spells you can mix and match and combo into each other is absolutely insane. You can absolutely make yourself feel like the Avatar by wielding all 4 elements which is so cool and I feel no game has truly done that.

And while it's fast paced combo game can feel amazing the music is painfully generic in a lot of places and can feel very repetitive. The randomly generated levels also feel super underwhelming and uninspired to explore, with very little variety and annoying dead ends or trapped rooms with nothing in or past them to reward exploration. It has a weird way of trying to remove backtracking with portals that can spawn in some key areas and all link to the boss room after finding it. ...But that only works when the level generation is in your favor and you actually find the boss room before most other stuff on the floor.
The game is REALLY HARD, and often times falls into feeling unfair. The game lacks fair i-frames and allows you to be stunlocked and combo'd to death from groups of enemies or the beginning of long boss attacks. Health pickups feel far too scarce, most of my runs are spent at low HP with few ways to refill. The game also has a lot items that are just not that good or aren't compatible with your current spell loadout like element specific benefits and boost. The cursed item system's downsides seem to always overweigh any good sides to the items and can feel like crutches on the run for trying something different.

Wouldn't call this game horrible though, but it's not amazing either. It can still feel really good the play when you build a cool spell loadout and go nuts on enemies with it.

This game will make you eerily feel like a banana.

The one and only time mainline DK has been 3D.. Despite how slow, unfair, and horribly tedious it is I can't get myself to rate it any lower. It's so charming and both ironically and unironically funny in every way that made the experience feel far more bearable then it might realistically be. Everything from the music to the environments and the animations are so filled with life it's kind of shocking how its even able to work on the N64. This game deserves a full remake or a sequel for sure.

Might be nostalgia talking but this game is incredible. Somehow feels much better to play than 8 Deluxe despite 8's booster course pass bringing in most of this games best tracks and the few missing characters. This game also has the best music in the franchise, not even the options menu was left without it's own banger.

If the game had more options for battlemode like timer setting and scoring, balance with it's characters so they all felt more like the top tier's, and buffed karts so they could compete against bikes this game would be straight up perfect.

Fun with friends sometimes, but if you are playing with randoms it can become a lame to miserable experience, since half the people who play this game in open lobbies are under the age of 12 and use tictok.
