I was excited for this game back in it was announced back in 2021 enjoying the 1st game & Dual Strike however I know we had to wait for a while due to delays. Thankfully it was released & it was an absolute blast to play being pretty faithful to the original AW with some quality of life improvements like cutting down the tutorials & the ability to redo your turn if you accidently messed up. I never played AW2 beforehand it was still just as good if not slightly better than the original.

Its a fun turn based strategy game that mostly is a test of skill & managing your funding & units that gets challenging even with the new casual mode. They were a couple of missions I'm not a fan of like fog of war ones & the final mission in AW2 with the latter being frustrating but overall the campaigns were fun. It has a lot of content with the 2 campaigns, the war room challenges, multiplayer which I will play eventually with my younger brother as well creating your own maps. I'm so glad to play this series again & hopefully we see more of it in the future.

A fun 3D platformer with a cute aesthetic. The way the player character Beebz controls is great for the most part & the level design is fun to explore with plenty of ways to cut corners. I love I could double jump & glide or jump, glide & then roll in the air for an extra boost. To me these are the strongest part of this game.

The extra power-ups you get are a hit or miss for me. The hook shot & rollout moves are really fun & is used a lot. On the other hand the bird form & time stop are pretty weak with the bird form being awkward to control that lead me to a few deaths. The enemy encounters & the boss fights are the weakest parts of the game with most enemies don't really have any health about are killed using spikes or pits. To get to the final boss you also have to do the majority of stages including the remix ones which doesn't lead to many freedom to explore like say the 3D Mario games. Still this game has a lot of content with the remix stages, collectables, Demon Tower side mode & the Neon Splash DLC.

I made a review on Yakuza 0 in more detail but in short great game.

I was curious on trying the game out for years being this rare & niche game that was only released in Japan but thanks to some translators I managed to try it out. Metal Slader Glory pushed the Famicom to its absolute limit with its visuals & animation. I was impressed to see what the system can do & that's thanks to HAL Laboratory (the Kirby devs), Satoru Iwata with his programming skills & Yoshimiru Hoshi the creator of the game with his artwork.

It's a visual novel game which I do enjoy from time to time. The story is like your standard mecha show but with elements of a horror flick. The main characters are pretty average with some pervy moments with the main female lead always commenting how the male lead is a perv for just talking to any other women. The male lead is also a bit pervy too. Interacting with things can be tedious as you have to repeat a lot of the same actions for the story to progress & they was one part of the game I got stuck on as well as while visually impressive a lot of the rooms looked very familiar. I admit I had to look up a guide for that part. I glad I got to experience it though I don't think its a must play. They was also a director's cut version for the Super Famicom however that does not currently have an English translation.

I had this game (it was originally called Cybernator in the west) when I was like 5 or 6 & could only get up to the second level but now thanks to the Declassified version I managed to beat it after all these years. This game is hard especially during the zero gravity & air combat sections & in the original version you only had a set number of lives which made it that much tough to beat. You can lose health very quickly by the amount of enemies & projectiles on screen requiring a lot of patience. The shield is your friend as it can block projectiles. Thankfully this version has the option to play with unlimited continues & save states.

The controls need to get some use to at first but it feels good when you get the hand of it. The game rewards you for exploration as you gain access to new weapons & upgrades for your new weapons. The bosses also have secondary missions that can change the ending too. The soundtrack is nostalgic & it visually looks nice. M2 did a marvelous job with this port & even includes interviews, artwork, arrange music, etc. A fun yet difficult time.

Mega Man & Bass is quite a mixed bag. On one hand you have some of the best weapon powers in the series like Ice Wall & Copy Shot & the bolts system is pretty neat & started how future Mega Man titles used them. It looks great & the music is good too. On the other this includes some of the most frustrating levels in the entire classic series. Not all mind you as the Cold Man & Pirate Man stage are well designed but ones like Ground Man, Burner Man & the final two King stages are atrocious & way too long for their own good. They could've been easily split into 3 different stages.

Bosses are mostly a mixed bag too especially Dynamo, Burner Man & the King fights. Bass is an interesting character with his double jump & directional shots though his shots are absolutely weak making some boss fights & some common mooks annoying. I wouldn't say the game is terrible as I would rather play this again compared to X3, X6 & X7 but out of the classics you could easily skip this.

I thought the original game was ok I was a bit disappointed with it. I would've liked a sequel that improved on the original game but we got a 2D platformer instead which I'm ok with as it was a lot of fun especially it took some inspiration from Donkey Kong Country & possibly other 2D platformers. I liked the idea of each level changing depending on what you do on the overworld & the levels themselves are fun & challenging. I would've liked more level theming (fire level, desert level, etc) as most of them have similar aesthetics but you can't go wrong with playing this game especially on a sale. They is a lot of stuff to do in the overworld though I would've preferred the controls in the overworld to be better. The tonics also add some replayability making the game a easier or harder. I highly recommend if you love 2D platformers.

When it comes to puzzle games I tend to prefer endless mode facing off against myself rather than going up against an opponent. I got it on a sale for extremely cheap & it can be fun with friends & in endless mode but competitive puzzle games aren't for me. I also suck at them especially the Puyo Puyo part of the game.

I played vanilla Persona 5 when it came out & it was one of my favourite JRPGs & then Royal shows up improving most things with new gameplay features & story parts that hit me pretty damn hard. I will say some bits made it slightly easier on normal difficulty compared to vanilla but I had an outright blast. One of my favourite JRPGs alongside The World Ends with You, Vesperia & Xenoblade.

Can't believe Charmy wasn't invited.

A fun game that is told like a weekly anime show with a fun casts of characters, world building & one hell of a bopping opening song (seriously its been in my head for weeks). The turn based strategy is easy peasy with a busted protect mechanic but it was a nice comfort playthrough.

I haven't played the first Prime game for over a decade so I was happy to see this get a port for the Switch. This game is still a blast to play with new improved visuals that look stunning & an option to play with dual analog as well as the original Gamecube control scheme. This game was a lot of fun to explore with diverse locations & cool power ups.

The gameplay is probably one of the strongest in the series with some fun map designs, interesting use of the weapon triangle that now makes the opponent defenseless during the player/enemy phase if you have a superior weapon & how the classes & rings work. I assumed the rings were gonna make the game a cake walk but thankfully that wasn't the case. The story & characters were the weakest part of the game that besides a few moments didn't keep me invested. A great game in general.

Like the other two games Bayonetta controls great with some fun combat. Viola takes a while to get used but she is fun to play. It does throw some gaming elements different from the main combat which is a hit or a miss for me especially the odd inclusion of stealth levels.
