If you love the gameplay & the sandbox of the first game & Miles Morales then you love Spider-Man 2. Traversing around this gorgeous city is fun to roam around especially now with the inclusion of the web-glide ability. Combat is pretty great too with some new abilities for both characters though I wish the game had a proper lock-on function as they were times I wanted to target a specific enemy & the game decided instead to attack the one nearest to me. Bosses are fun & can be challenging especially on a first playthrough despite the number of combat options you have equipped.

They is a lot to experience in this game with loads of side quests & activities & the amount of detail is insane that I could see why this game cost a lot. I enjoy the number of suits you can get to even from the movies.

The story is good too though not as great as the first time around as I felt one or two conflicts interactions feeling a bit forced. While I thought the main villain in 1 is still my favourite the rogue's gallery here is still amazing especially the main antagonist Kraven who is such a delight being a ruthless killer that causes a lot of struggles for the majority of the casts both the good guys & the criminals.

Its a marvellous time that is worth picking up if you have a PS5.

A fun & short game that lasted me about 4 hours though they are some secrets to find. The game is challenging especially since you die in 1 hit but you are immediately put back into the fray plus the it feels like mistakes were mostly my fault. Its fun just running & slicing enemies, deflecting bullets & going slow-mo. Great synth-wave soundtrack & some nice pixel art too.

The story while was started off intriguing did become a letdown at the end with so many unanswered questions but I think the developer is planning DLC soon so who knows it may answer those lingering questions.

I've owned this game for years but 2023 is when I decided to play all the way through it (on easy by the way since I'm still a newbie when it comes to early horror games). Audio design is amazing trying to make you feel uncomfortable as much as possible with the odd moments that made me jump.

The atmosphere is amazing. While it can be hard to see sometimes due how dark it can get the environment is top notch making you feel alone in this nightmare fueled place.

While the gameplay is alright the story, characters & theming is what kept me playing it all the way through. I was interested in discovering James's past & what happened to his wife Mary. Eddie & Angela were depressing to witness especially Angela who from what the game tells you with the cutscenes & other things in the game was shocking. Silent Hill 2 is one of those show don't tell stories but is handled in a great way giving you enough to go off but always has extra material in the game to make you uncover the pieces. Amazing storytelling. I do praise the game for having multiple difficulty options & having 2 kinds of difficulty; one for puzzles & the other for combat. Having this really helped me experience the world of Silent Hill 2 especially for a novice of the genre.

A fun Metroidvania with some amazing movement options that is gives you many ways to overcome obstacles. This game really needs a map as its easy to get lost in. I think the dev is planning on a map though. I like the early 3D polygon aesthestic but most of the areas looked identical.

Its very cheap (I believe like £5 on Steam) so if you like games like Mario 64 or Demon Turf I recommend checking it out. Maybe wait for the dev to add a map.

Replaying Heroes again was fun. I enjoyed Team Sonic's Rose's & Chaotix's story but I found Team Dark's stages take too long. Omega's power formation kinda sucks as he flies across the screen that can lead to death. This game is corny but its funny to laugh at. Team Chaotix are my favourite group.

However the levels are varied in design & a fun to play for the most part. A flawed but an enjoyable game.

Played through the campaign in 1 sitting & it was a fun time. It is basically Spider-Man lite but with some new tools that improves combat by a bit. The venom power is really cool & makes you think whether it best to use that or to heal. I actually died a few times. Looking forward to see it what they do for Spider-Man 2. Web swinging around the city is still my favourite part of the game.

I think the weakest part is the story. Miles is a great protagonist who is trying to find his mark as a hero & trying to stand out then just the "other Spider-Man". Ganke is a great support character. Reminded me of Oracle in the Arkham games but more comedic. They feel like actual friends. The issue comes more with the villains, one of them being forgettable despite being the catalyst for the events & the other who tried to be more sympathetic like the previous game but made me groan how idiotic they were. They were some pretty good boss fights but for how short the game is they wasn't much to begin with like the previous game. Still if you love the OG Spider-Man check out Miles Morales if it ever goes on sale.

This was a really good time. The control scheme is pretty unconventional using the right analog stick to use your gadgets, the R1 button to jump & the face button to select your gadgets. I'm surprised how well the controls work.

The game uses its gadgets quite often making it a lot of fun & using one of them has a really cool glitch. The levels are colourful & well design with some of them having multiple methods of capturing the monkeys. The voice acting (at least in the US version) is hilariously bad bringing it some charm. Shoutout to Spectre & Natalie. The music is a bop to listen to with a lot of drum & bass. I only did the main campaign so far but this is something I can easily go back to.

2020

This was an interesting experience that made me theorising what was going to happen next. The story is really entertaining with a bunch of in-depth characters especially Aubrey & Hero who are perhaps my favourites. This game tackles heavy subjects that I wouldn't recommend if you are feeling depressed or emotionally vulnerable. The story mostly tackles these subjects tastefully though I do feel they are edgy moments that I don't feels warranted & honestly made me felt uncomfortable. I'm also not a fan of certain moments of the ending though the final scene was pretty emotional.

The visuals are beautiful; mixing various art styles like the hand drawn pencil portraits & enemy arts as well as the use of photos that suits the dream world. The music is SO GOOD. Easily my favourite part of the game. The emotion combat system is really fun doing the whole rock, paper, scissors thing but tackling its own spin as each emotion is like a status ailment giving characters/enemies buffs & debuffs. Its engaging.

I would recommend playing this game unless if you are emotionally vulnerable.

The Mother series has been something I've been curious about since Gametrailers & the early years of Youtube. I didn't like the first game & I thought Earthbound was just ok. I've heard Mother 3 was considered the best one for the longest time even from people who weren't that big on the first two & yeah it is.

I've always liked the premise of the series but despite a couple I did not care for the majority of the characters especially the main party. Mother 3 made me care about these characters a lot more especially Lucas, Flint & Claus who go through a lot & even some of the NPCs too. It helps that these characters have chapters dedicated to them.

The battle system is good too especially with the roulette HP system that can save you from dire attacks which was also used in Earthbound & the new rhythm attack which is tough to get hold off made battles a lot more fun. The boss fights were pretty good too keeping me on my toes. My biggest complaints are the limited inventory spaces but that maybe because I tend to hoard items & enemy encounters. I do think that equipment & weapons should be separated from the rest of inventory. Enemies do display on the field but with some of the more tighter areas, how fast the enemies move & having all your party displayed on the field it feels like you get caught easily when you just want to progress to the next objective. If you played the previous Mother games prior you would appreciate this game more but I would say this ain't a bad one to start with.

I was excited for this game back in it was announced back in 2021 enjoying the 1st game & Dual Strike however I know we had to wait for a while due to delays. Thankfully it was released & it was an absolute blast to play being pretty faithful to the original AW with some quality of life improvements like cutting down the tutorials & the ability to redo your turn if you accidently messed up. I never played AW2 beforehand it was still just as good if not slightly better than the original.

Its a fun turn based strategy game that mostly is a test of skill & managing your funding & units that gets challenging even with the new casual mode. They were a couple of missions I'm not a fan of like fog of war ones & the final mission in AW2 with the latter being frustrating but overall the campaigns were fun. It has a lot of content with the 2 campaigns, the war room challenges, multiplayer which I will play eventually with my younger brother as well creating your own maps. I'm so glad to play this series again & hopefully we see more of it in the future.

A fun 3D platformer with a cute aesthetic. The way the player character Beebz controls is great for the most part & the level design is fun to explore with plenty of ways to cut corners. I love I could double jump & glide or jump, glide & then roll in the air for an extra boost. To me these are the strongest part of this game.

The extra power-ups you get are a hit or miss for me. The hook shot & rollout moves are really fun & is used a lot. On the other hand the bird form & time stop are pretty weak with the bird form being awkward to control that lead me to a few deaths. The enemy encounters & the boss fights are the weakest parts of the game with most enemies don't really have any health about are killed using spikes or pits. To get to the final boss you also have to do the majority of stages including the remix ones which doesn't lead to many freedom to explore like say the 3D Mario games. Still this game has a lot of content with the remix stages, collectables, Demon Tower side mode & the Neon Splash DLC.
