One of the first RTS games I ever played and I will always have very fond memories of it for that reason alone. Also, probably the first game I ever played with custom content.

Got very close to the end of this game, then I updated my computer from FAT32 to NTFS and the game broke. Returned to it a couple of times since but never got that far again. A pretty good story, but really the world building is what makes this game a gem. Its combat leaves much to be desired and is the reason I can't give it a 5.

Many a drunken night I spent blasting freaks and building infrastructure. I never knew how much I wanted a game that blended combat and settlement building so much. I only wish the settlement building had been deeper and more complex. I sure sunk a lot of hours into placing useless furniture and wiring up lights around every settlement I could. Fun time.

Darker in tone than Earthbound. Excellent and a bit understated. Episodic like Live A Live probably due to the involvement of Nobuyuki Inoue.

Fantastic, quirky RPG. Nothing else quite like it (except the other Mother games).
