I haven't played the Mega Man Zero series, so I had to do a little googling for this one. After watching half of a "Mega Man Zero 3 All bosses no damage" video and 2 (two) wiki articles, I've come to my conclusion that it's a game that rewards knowledge of the boss' weakness and preparing to fight it by choosing the right tool for the job and having a mental checklist of what can it do and how to counter it, some features if thankly shares with Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate.

Just as MZ3, 4U is a highly rewarding action-packed game, and although the protagonist is not in the same level of depth as Zero, you can feel his journey about rising from nothing and fiding his place in the world (just like zero i hope i didnt read the synopsis)

Good choice! The one thing that comes through my mind when thinking about Prime is it's atmosphere - I remember the first time I got in Phendrana Drifts and having to just stop and take in that ambient. It's biomes seem almost larger-than-life, for how little influence you inicially seem to be in oppose to it, and how that power balance changes as you go through the game, as you grab power-ups that make your life on this planet easier. This progression reminded me of one of my favorite games of all time: Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate.

Just like in Prime, as you start out these places feel almost as dangerous as the creatures you're facing on it, be it the hazardous climates of the Volcanic Hollow or the sheer height and difficulty to traversal in the Heaven's Mound. It reminds you of the harshness of the world you're in, and also of the triumphs you go over when you finally complete your mission.

Samus is also in MH4U as an armor set, so that settles it.

Player expression in the Elder Scrolls series is truly amazing - you have almost complete and total control of not only your character's appearance, stats and weapon preferences, but how they interact with the world around them and chooses to face the problems it throws at them.

This feeling of expressing yourself through this blank slate is copied by many games and successfully implemented by fewer, one of them, in my opinion, being Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. You may not have the sheer amount of freedom as in Oblivion, but I believe the game makes up for that difference by letting you have the option to better express yourself in combat in dozens of different weapon types, each one having their own ways to take advantage of a specific monster attack or body part. The intriguing places you visit and the curious wildlife you encounter breathes life into the world on screen, and more than justify sinking hours and hours trying to get that gear you want to complete your set, or that weapon you need to beat that enemy that has been a pain in the ass for you and your companions. Ultimately (heh), I believe MH4U is an approach that shares some of the core principles with Oblivion, but differs enough to offer it's own thing.

+ your palico is basically a little khajiit that steals stuff for you

Repetition is an integral part of ZeroRanger’s gameplay loop and overall message, it’s used as both a means to tie the game to it’s buddhist themes and to get more value out of his unique level layouts and encouraging playing for score. Likewise, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate encourages repetition through it’s gear and loot system, enforcing it’s core principles of preparing for the hunt, knowing the monsters and optimizing the fights with your varied toolkit. Both games, in their own way, teach you that it is only through repeated hardships that you can approach bliss, a thorny path to Nirvana that, when crossed out, asks you to do it again to reach what you’re seeking, be it spiritual enlightment or a dope new dragon helmet.

Play it with the Seltas hammer, it’s a giant drill.
