WaffulSyrup commented on Swanky's review of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
@Swanky might be a bit til its fully optimized. The patch apparently messes with the textbox scrolling speed.

WaffulSyrup reviewed Gun Crazy
I snagged Gun Crazy with some of my gold coins on my eshop account cause I didn't know what else I wanted to use that cash on. It was only a buck so screw it. I wasn't expecting much, and that's pretty much what I got. A short and simple little run n gun that looks pretty, controls fine, and is only 4 levels long. Hit detection is a bit jank with the enemy bullets but eh.

I've played better indie games than this, but for what this was it was fairly solid and short enough for me to finish.

WaffulSyrup commented on Nickakyoin's review of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
@Nickakyoin I really don't know why framerate matters in a turn based rpg for people. If they had this remake run at an uncapped 60 like SMRPG people would've bitched about it being unstable especially with messing up the timing of attacks and guards. The halved framerate was a massive sacrifice for what they wanted to do with the visuals and it shows.

Fuzzman finished Popful Mail: Magical Fantasy Adventure
Popful Mail is one of those games that's perfectly simple. It's as standard as these kinds of games come in terms of depth, but offering multiple characters with their own strengths added enough to keep things engaging and fun. I often find myself sticking to one specific character when given the option in many games, but Popful Mail's cast was in steady rotation for me.

The charming presentation and characters sweetened the deal even further. I enjoyed watching the cast's antics unfold from stage to stage. This is my introduction to Falcom's works, and I'd definitely like to explore more of what they have to offer after this one!

WaffulSyrup finished Lunistice
Lunistice was a cute and fun little 3D platformer that had a nice flow to it. This game looks super vibrant, sounds great, and the controls were snappy (love all the options too!). Challenge ramps up fairly well, and the game ends off nicely. Short playthrough overall, but man is it a fun game. I definitely recommend giving it a look!
