COLD STEELLLLL 2!

CS2 has alot of similarities between SC which i find to be pretty cool in terms of presentation, structure and even somewhat the direction of the story (Albeit 2 different things) which i liked seeing. The only downside of CS2 is the pacing in act 2, funny enough reminded me of the section in SC which made you walk around the whole of Liberl lmao.

But i think this was a good step up from the first game in alot of respects and provided some good development for Rean and Class 7! The shock factor of Trails cliffhangers needs to be studied honestly.

Had fun with it and im looking forward to the second half of cold steel.

Going into cold steel 1 honestly my outlook was somewhat bleak considering the reputation it had prior to me playing it, but after completing the game i'm happy to know that the hate for it is so OVERBLOWNNN. And i assume most of the hate for it is either unmerited or from people who got into the series with this game without prior knowledge.

I think this game is pretty solid, taking it's time to explore Erebonia and building it up which is the massive appeal of the series for me. This is a given to any intro trails game so i didn't particularly feel it was 'slow' as i'm used to the formula. Albeit at first it may seem formulaic but it works well and Erebonia is so damn INTERESTING!

I Kind of had some concerns about the cast size being so massive and how they were gonna handle 9 whole characters but i believe CS1 handled it pretty well to build up the foundations for alot of these characters. I'm actually pretty invested into Rean as a character and i think he could be pretty amazing down the line.

Besides the usual shit, Trails games always have amazing soundtracks and this game is no exception. First time hearing 'Oinaru Chikara' is an experience plus the gameplay is as fun as it's always been.

THE ENDINGGGGG UOGHHHHHHHHHH. I'm hyped for the rest of the Cold steel games man

Star wars was my entire childhood as a kid, kind of experiencing the world a decade later felt pretty nostalgic asf. Visually the game is insane and captures the aesthetic/score pretty damn well. The boss fights were pretty fun icl to you.

But gah damn this game has alot of flaws, story and characters are pretty meh tbh. The exploration became SUPER tedious after the first few hours + the constant backtracking made things a pain to play. Classic EA with some bugs and camera issues hindered my experience a bit. That souls like formula with the checkpoints felt so out of place, i do not know why they integrated it to begin with.

Its not a bad game by any means but it could have been wayyy better considering i have such a soft spot for star wars. I hope the sequel is better.
