Really glad I finally finished this game over the course of this week and last week. I can easily consider it my 2nd favorite game of all time (behind Metal Slug 3.) Unlike what most people say, the game isn't that hard to wrap your head around if you actually play it since most of the stuff is explained to you except for at the end of Target 05, but it's still both fun as fuck and intriguing. Definitely gonna Replay on deadly and Killer8 mode after I finish a few more games I wanna to play.

Awesome game, but really only fun with 2+ players. I just wish I could play with friends without having to create a goddamn server.

The first half of the game is fun, however the latter half (mission 4 and onward) suffers from a lot of flaws, even compared to the flaws that most of the post-bankruptcy Metal Slug games (4-XX) suffer from.

The main problem is the difficulty. Like any MS game, it's difficult, but in a bullshit way. Some enemies appear off-screen or come out of no where, and some areas flood the screen, making it impossible to fight back without dying once. Metal Slug 3 was incredibly hard too, but that game does everything that makes a hard game fun, unlike this one. At least it's not MS7 where you have limited continues.

Overall, it's fine. In the Metal Slug game ranking I'd put MS7/XX above MS4 and 2, but below the rest of the main games, a solid 7/10.

Really goddamn fun. Soundtrack is also a banger, one of the best in Halo.

Don't get me wrong, it's a good game that's really fun, and certainly the best Nu-Halo game, but it lacks a lot.

-A terrible launch, not getting a decent amount of gamemodes until about a month later, and even then there's still some noticeable gamemodes missing.

-Terrible PC port. Even putting everything on low settings will have the game run at a frame rate lower than 60, and 343 really expects a majority of us to have a 20s series card during a time where supply for a good GPU is low and demand is high. Recently it seems to have gotten worse, as I just played today and experienced the game freezing for a moment several times. If this game can run at 60 FPS on a Xbox One X, then it should be able to run 60 fps on a GTX 1050TI.

-Yeah the microtransactions are bad and stingy as fuck, but honestly I care way more about other stuff since it's cosmetic only.

Considering uninstalling until my problems are addressed by 343. Currently I am reviewing the multiplayer only, as my PC would melt trying to run the campaign, so I'll follow up with this review later once I get a chance to play it and when the performance is improved.

I try to like this game cause it's STALKER, one of my favorite video game series, but I just can't.
Bleeding is now annoying as hell, enemies throw grenades like crazy, and the random spread is far worse to the point where you're struggling to hit something unless it's right in your face (if you played a STALKER game before, you know that's bad.)
What's sad is that this game had some good ideas, like participating in faction wars, but they are executed so poorly, and unfortunately weren't carried over to COP for some reason.

A bit easier than SOC imo, but it's still a great game. Play this one first if you're new to STALKER, unless you care for the lore.

It's fun, but pretty easy.
Managed to finish nearly everything but the collectibles in just a few days and barely died/failed the missions.

Some things could've been better, like ammo limits, but killing Combine is fun as fuck.

Like I said with XX, game is fine, but heavily flawed due to its awful balancing.

Probably the best of the newer MS games. Each character now has their own abilities, making them all unique, and it introduces hard mode, which halves the ammo for special weapons. MS6 manages to change up the pace of the other MS games while still keeping it fun.

Even with its flaws, MS5 still stands pretty strong and is a good redemption from the previous game. Also has the best OST of any of the MS games, and the final boss is cool as fuck too. Imagine if this game got a little more time.

Metal Slug X improves the first game by improving nearly everything, and defined the difficulty the Metal Slug games are known for. Only gets beaten out by Metal Slug 3.

Honestly, just play Metal Slug X. Does everything this one does but better and no slowdown.

Dis is where da series began, and while it ain't as strong as the other classic Metal Slug games since it's only the first, it's still a great game.
