Souldiers

I feel like if Souldiers had like one more year of development time, it would have been a good metroidvania. It wouldn't be groundbreaking or something, but most people would have a good time. As it stands now, it's a mix of really bland features thrown together to create a cake that leaves a dull aftertaste in your mouth. There is the beautiful pixel art, some interesting combat mechanics such as the switching between elements or the charming story. But then there is also the levelling and item system that doesn't bring anything to the table, the pacing that is ruined by dungeons that overstay their welcome and the boring boss encounters. Let's hope the studio can learn from their mistakes and come back stronger.

Sea of Stars

I'm typically not a huge fan of turn-based games, so it should mean a lot for me to say that Sea of Stars is excellent. I was very skeptical following The Messenger's screwed-up 180 and they completely blew those expectations out of the water.
The humor is great, the art style is breathtaking for a lot of key moments, and the combat is satisfying with its timing mechanic (even if it isn't the first game to do this). Only complaint I have is that the difficulty is a little too low for my tastes. I had enough supplies for consumables at the end of the game that I probably could've fed a city.
Well worth your time, especially since it's on Game Pass as of writing. Super excited to see where Sabotage goes from here.

played it for the first time when it whent free on the epic store, when i first saw the 2 games for free i thought " nah im prob not gonna get those" but i came back a few days later and looked at the games and instantly bought and downloaded this and ive been loving it, the weapons, movement and overall gameplay is something i thought of when i was a kid, if i had to change one thing it would be the graphics as i think they could be upgraded with out losing the charm.

You will throw anyone under the bus just to save your skin and lie that you are not the impostor. Overall, among us became popular just as fall guys did. Out of thin air a game that was released for already 2 years became so popular and played among friends and popular streamers that I think it could even get a game of the year. If you have a decent group of friends with whom you often play you must absolutely try out Among us it’s great.
