This felt more like a Mysterious game with a somewhat Dusk inspired story set in Arland but besides that absolutely rancid final boss it was a lot of fun and a nice little game for the Arland series 10th anniversary!

Also I'd give it a higher score if it had Hagel :(

Genuinely the PERFECT way to follow up Chaos;Head NoaH and easily my favourite VN I've read

Kurusu Nono my beloved

So I have quite a few thoughts on this game.

When it was announced I was somewhat cautiously optimistic, an unnecessary direct sequel to a game that was already fine as is? Anyone would be sceptical but after the near perfect game that was Blue Reflection Tie/Second Light I decided to trust in Gust's plan with this one because if Tie was anything to go off this game could potentially be fantastic

And was it? Well yes and no, it took the world of the Mysterious games and put them in a game that feels way more like a Ryza game which I'm mixed on because I do enjoy some elements from those but massively dislike a lot of other things from them so if have much preferred a more traditional style of Atelier game from this along the lines of what we previously had in this trilogy with Sophie and Lydie & Suelle but alas they gotta keep it somewhat similar to Ryza to appeal to the new fans those games brought in

The game being essentially Mysterious 1.5 makes it obviously still aimed towards the somewhat longer time fans of the series as well so it kind of feels like it's trying to appeal to both audiences and feels somewhat weird at times especially with how story focused and less focused on slice of life and synthesis it is much like the Ryza games and much like those the focus on story leads fit a mixed bag where the story is decent enough but has a lot of kinda generic plot points, which if you've played the first Sophie game you'd know it was far more focused on the slice of life content and the synthesis for almost the entire game so while they did ditch the boring Ryza mechanics to bring back the synthesis mechanics that had actual depth the game feels far less focused on them

It's not all questionable though as they did some things I did really enjoy, the new battle system was an enjoyable return to form after the icky Ryza ATB systems that for some reason limited the use of items in games in a series about creating and using items???????? and some of the new and technically returning characters like Elvira, Ramizel and young Plachta were handled well (young Plachta especially was a highlight of the cast)

Those are just some quick thoughts I'll avoid saying some other things because I'd prefer to keep this spoiler free but yeah, game is alright

Also I'd like to add that they make this as a 25th anniversary title for the franchise then proceed to give it the perfect setting to have returning characters from previous Atelier games (they even went out of their way to state that people in the world of this game were from all across time and space) only to just not do that, I definitely wouldn't be nitpicking this if it wasn't supposed to be a 25th anniversary game but it is one, at least they had plenty of other references to previous games in the series I guess

It was a really fun game, my only problems are the synthesis being as limited as it is and FORTRESS but despite those I loved it a lot

Now I'm not caught up to the story so my thoughts on that may change (for now it's kind of whatever) but I can't help but think how this feels lesser to GFL every time I play it

The combat is all mostly automatic which requires a lot less thought and effort than GFL's super fun strategic gameplay and I'm only sticking with this for the Steins;Gate collab tbf

It's also funny being bombarded with pop up ads for microtransactions every time I log into the game

It's not bad by any means it's just kind of the gacha game of all time which is unfortunate because GFL has an amazing story and fun gameplay so I had hopes. At least the presentation here is super clean and polished.

I had a pretty fun time playing this, I never want to play it ever again for as long as I live though

This game is irredeemably awful.

It had good music and artwork but that is not saving this rancid mess.

Honestly I don't think there's anything negative I can say about this game aside from the beginning being a tiny bit slow and some characters(Ren and Aelita) being kind of boring and not very good respectively but as the game progresses and the writing improves more and more with each chapter both characters also improve and eventually become just as well written as the other well written characters in the game. When the story starts to improve it always hits hard and I can't think of a single moment where it truly missed unlike Pokemon Reborn.

As for gameplay as this game is a Pokemon Reborn inspired fangame it's easy to compare it to Reborn so I'll be doing that.
Rejuvenation does everything Reborn does but much better with additions like Audino trainers to help alleviate the grinding a lot making it much easier to level up new team members for major battles which is something you'll need to do often that was a long grindy hassle in Reborn but not here. The battles are also much more fair while still being very hard similar to Reborn but as I said before Rejuvenation does everything Reborn does but better and that also applies for the battles too. It also features the same field system as Reborn with a lot of new fields and effects added that add much more depth and strategy to the combat compared to Reborn and especially the main series games.
The game also features a large myriad of side quests that while not required all have their own story lines that are all as solid as the main story of the game and even reward you with powerful items that will help you a lot with tough battles and even some slight alterations to future moments in the story as a way to reward the players for going out of their way to do the side quests.

The game also features some fantastic music by GlitchxCity and has some really good songs composed just for Rejuvenation that I found myself listening to quite a lot after finishing what is currently released of the game.

I HIGHLY recommend this to any Pokemon fan looking for a harder game or casual players who just want to experience a great story with well written and likeable characters on casual mode

Kinda like the first game but good

I played through this game in co-op split screen with a friend years ago and had a lot of fun with it, sure it's not a very good game at all but I did have an enjoyable time with it so I have fond memories of it

This sure was the first Atelier game, it was pretty fun, hoping that Elie and Lilie offer a bit more content wise though

I played this on a Sony Walkman

I'm gonna deforest warios woods

You can literally get most bosses stuck on the environment and render them incapable of doing much, funny game

Honestly the best game in the series, it does everything perfectly from characters to music to difficulty

The time limit is done really well and helps keep the game challenging with fair bosses which is something the games without the time limits doesn't do very well as they love to throw awfully designed final bosses at you that have an insane difficulty curve but all bosses in Totori all felt fair but still challenging
