This was my first Diva game and it is still absolutely solid! (I poured iirc 100 hours into this...) F 2nd is an improvement on these mechanics, in my opinion, but only by a bit. Excellent track list in this game -- Tengaku? World's End Dance Hall? Miracle Paint? Remote Controller? UNHAPPY REFRAIN??? i'm bald

one of my greatest regrets in life was scrambling to get the collector's ed version of this game

just play awakening

Way more fun to just ignore the whole story and run off to do random crap with 934839483 mods installed

Equally stupid as it is fun. Also, points for being one of the few games where you can (checks notes) actually make a fat main character. This shouldn't be rare.

My fiance had been bugging me to play this game for ages, but I didn't really get around to it until they finally bought the collector's edition of this Switch remaster. I am glad I waited for this better edition, and I am also SO glad I finally played this game.

This is easily one of the most beautiful games I have played. The locations are stunning, vast, and creative -- the first time you see Satorl Marsh at night, you'll really think, oh, wow. This game is gorgeous. And the soundtrack is absolutely to die for. I have been listening to it nonstop...in fact, I am right now...

But beyond just the lovely visuals and sound, this is one of the rare JRPGs where I truly love every single party member. They are genuinely all great characters with charming personalities and a close bond that ties them all together. None of them ever got on my nerves, not even the cutesy mascot character -- actually, I LOVE Riki and I think he is adorable! We love that Dadapon!!!

The story seems predictable at first but it gets buckwild as things go on. About 2/3 of the way through I was yelling WTF at my TV. And the combat is so fun! It takes a bit to get used to the battle system, but once you do, you will be kicking ass.

Overall, I cannot believe how good this game is...actually, OK, I can, because many people had been telling me it was great for a long time. But I'm so glad I experienced it all in a more refined form, and I would encourage any JRPG fan to do the same. This game RULES. Now, if you'll excuse me, I am busy jamming out to Mechonis Field...

tentative rating cuz i haven't finished chiru yet.....i have many Thoughts. i think it's mostly very good and ch. 3 was especially engaging/twisty. the most interesting characters to me are the four aunts -- even if i don't like all of them as people, boy are they compelling and kept me turning the...text boxes? i also really liked the interactions between maria and ange -- those got to me. the questionable reality of it all and the absurd logic arguments between beatrice and battler were brain-melting in an incredibly fun way. i enjoyed the overall themes of empathy and generational trauma and i expect they will be explored further in the sequel.

the anime boobie jokes that creep in here and there are annoying as hell and take away from the commentary the game is trying to make about sexism. i also feel like there are too many minor characters. idk what purpose certain demons/furniture serve aside from fanservice...the chiester sisters, for instance, could've been condensed into one girl without much of value being lost (perhaps i'll eat my words when i'm done chiru). it also suffers from a lot of scenes that are unnecessarily long -- key word being unnecessarily. i love reading and have no issue with a work of fiction being wordy, just so long as all those words serve a point...but certain scenes just dragged on forever and i felt my eyes glazing over. (the fight scenes at the end of chapter 4 were the worst example of this for me.)

still, very intriguing mystery and i liked it enough to go ahead with part 2. beatrice is great and i definitely want to know what's up with her!! oh and the music absolutely WHIPS

Utterly charming, funny, amazing soundtrack...just an all around excellent game and a GBA gem

Best game in the Diva series for sure. This one has imo the best mechanics and a fantastic song list! 2D Dream Fever, Kowase Kowase, and Meteor became favs of mine because of this game...plus you get to play classics like Clover Club and Meltdown! It's a great mix of different Vocaloid eras and, in conclusion, it slaps. Slams, one might even say. OH AND DID I MENTION THIS IS THE HAPPINESS AND PEACE OF MIND COMMITTEE--

LOVE gen 4 but platinum is the superior game

THIS IS THE BEST ACE ATTORNEY GAME AND I WILL FIGHT THE HATERS. I LOVE APOLLO AND I WILL PUT HIM IN MY POCKET

I didn't like this entry quite as much as Hitman 1 in this recent trilogy. A huge part of the fun of this series is the locations for me, and with two of the levels taking place in a suburb and a weird, nonexistent island with a kinda corny secret club, I didn't find the locales as intriguing. Florida and Mumbai were super fun, though. Still very solid gameplay and the story picks up! I just felt that the final two levels fell a little flat compared to the exciting locations we had previously seen.

I adore the Black Eagles but MAN there are a lot of things I wish I could fix about the story. The version of this game in my head is so good. Hire me intsys,
