I've had the whole trilogy for a while and just so happened to finally play this in 2021. Didn't finish til January 2022. I gotta say this is one long ride and Falcom really had something on their hands. This game takes its sweet time getting you settled in. The worldbuilding, the characters and everything is very much solid. I see why this Trails series is still going on. I'll be on to Second Chapter soon. I recommend this game no doubt though.

I remember putting my hands on the original way back then as a child. And I consider it such a blessing to be able to be around to play this! This is one hell of a remake. Shout out to ArtePiazza for really putting in their all on this game. It's really well made. Still has that old charm and I still consider it a great entry point for people looking to give turn based RPGs a chance. Loved it from top to bottom and I smiled pretty much my whole playthrough.

I played this game for my youtube channel and I did it on the hardest difficulty! Let me just say that everything will definitely feel like complete and utter bullshit. Especially during the latter half of the game. Was it fun? oh yeah and i love all of the combo throws and just general gameplay of it. Awesome 3D beat em up by Namco but SHEESH does it hand out a beating.

I'm being biased when I say I love this game. I know everyone had their problems and so on with the game but for me it did everything I wanted it to. And yes I love the big vampire lady. Lady Dimitrescu can hurt me any given Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, any day. But back to my point! You can feel the influence of Resident Evil 4 splashed throughout this game. I feel like this is a bit of a step up from RE7 which is a good thing. Feels a little more fast paced and I just love the mix of the antagonists. They all have such mixed and varying personalities for me. I say play it. It's well worth it!

I call it a return to form for the series here. It brings back what Resident Evil used to be in a first person format. It brings back the horror but it's much more dark and gritty to me. You feel like something could be watching you at every turn and something may just be sizing you up. There are a few scares to be had here. You can feel where they kind of dug into the vaults to get some things back.

To make it short... This is a solid entry into the remake lineup but it does leave quite a bit to be desired because it does have a few things done correctly. It looks amazing. I love the way it plays especially with how it does it's best to let you have more freedom and a un-janky escape maneuver. The worst of it comes with Nemesis. The big guy.... He's more of a set piece monster. He's not the threat he once was back in the day where whenever he appears during a cutscene or set piece he's there to follow you at the worst of times. It takes away from the fear of him. But it being a remake of a classic still warrants a playthrough if anything.

I like this game because I'm such a big fan of metroidvania games. But this game here will do its best to test you when you play it! The game is pretty to look at. But this game holds no punches especially in the boss department! It's short but does its job well.

Well I played this on stream because it was my first time playing it and I heard nothing but great things about it from a stream friend.

I gotta say I enjoyed this game from top to bottom! I love the setting and story. And there are quite a few characters to deal with that add to the story as well plus getting to know them and their plights. The battle system is something that I just enjoy a ton of! I think a few more games ought to adapt this. OR you know.... make the third Valkyrie Profile featuring the next Valkyrie. I'm just saying because I want that.

I played this one on my stream and I must say that I really did enjoy it a lot. I consider this one of those good metroidvanias and i think it also tells a solid story. The biggest problem that i have with the game is that when it starts, it is immediately throwing things at you that you're going to learn later on through the story so it's kinda like it expects you to know what some of these things are! But that's fine because even though that is a slight problem the game plays great. I love the puzzles this game has to offer. The bosses to me are fun to learn how to beat. It's a game that would be well worth the time if you ever see it on whichever platform you may own!

I'm finally adding the completed status to this game! It took a little too long but here I am!

So Tokyo Xanadu was on my list for the longest. I know it's made by the almighty Falcom! You know? The guys that brought up Xanadu, Trails in the Sky, Ys, and so on! Known for games that fly under the radar, tell great stories and have awesome gameplay. Well Tokyo Xanadu eX+ is no different but it takes place in a more modern time. You're a high schooler!

Yes. Yes. I know! I gave you something that immediately gave you anime storyline feeling but hold on don't leave just yet. I can give you the beginning. SO!

The story begins with our lead character, Kou Tokisaka, getting ready to head home from his part time job. Everything is all fine and dandy until he sees a classmate of his seemingly in trouble. Little did he know that his classmate wasn't in too much trouble and some very supernatural things started to happen before his eyes. Then unfolds the story of how he can do the same things she can!

I like to keep it short around here so here we really go. The setting is pretty basic for some anime to be made but the story itself is pretty dang long and can be winding. I remember playing it and getting sorta frustrated with how long it was taking because this isn't your standard little Action JRPG. It's a Falcom game. And if you get what I mean they are building this world up for you! It's pretty damned detailed. The gameplay is fun no doubt in the dungeons. The elemental weaknesses, how everyone plays differently from each other and that's what kept me going through it all. This is a beefy game and has quite a bit for you do in the "every day life" section of the game. Sidequests and friendship events that allow you to get to know your teammates a bit better over time which adds more abilities to them and helps you out as well. There is even something like a materia system in the game as well where you can add these stones to your weapons to obtain additional effects to your team. It makes it so worth it.

I was supposed to keep it short... Oh well. Anyway. Tokyo Xanadu is a really good game. Has some length and def does its best to tell you a great story amidst the problems that I myself may have dealt with. But do I recommend it? Yeah I do. It's something I think if you wanna get a feel for how Falcom does RPGs. This isn't a bad place to start at all. There is also the Ys series which is also an amazing place to start as well.

This game was the step up and sequel in my opinion to the first of the three FFXIII games. But this time while you may see Lightning on this cover you don't have control over her.... You have control over her more bubbly and positive sister Serah Farron! Who isn't a hardened soldier but a teacher and all around just sweet person. But due to a LOT of events which I shall not delve into which will spoil but also maybe lead to some confusion if you played the first game... Yeah. The best way to put it is there will be some timey-wimey BS on the way. Despite that being the angle of this game though, the battle system is fun and this creature capturing is a nice little addition to the game. I love that it now takes both of our protagonists dying now instead of before where whoever was the one YOU the player had control over, meant game over if they died. Yeah this game was a bit easier but with all the DLC and everything that it had attached to it. You have a lot to play with especially those bosses that are from previous FF games. But back on topic to keep this short, I like this game much more than the first for numerous reasons. I enjoy this soundtrack and i consider it one of the best to be in a Final Fantasy. Gameplay is great. The story is a mess and that is something that I can admit having played this through a few times myself. Let's let it be known though. If you can make it through FFXIII then this is the next logical step but rest assured this game is fun!

Enjoyable and was my first step into the Metroidvanias. I liked this game a lot when i bought it years ago. Is it good? Yes. Should you buy it? Yes. If you can manage to find it anywhere. Or on your Wii U. You now have another option in the Castlevania Advance Collection! Go ahead and get on it right now. Soma Cruz is a great protagonist.

This game was awesome. I had never played it when it hit PS3. Finally getting that chance to play this here on PS4 was a cool experience. The story and the dynamic between our heroes Joel and Ellie made this extremely worth the adventure. The gameplay is also lovely. Everything was great. I would highly recommend this game to anyone.

This was my first run in with this. I never got a chance to own this on Gamecube. I did play the original. That was a funny little ride. But this here? Takes everything from the past and just amplifies it to some terrifying levels. The added modern controls make this good for people who want to jump in and not deal with tank controls. I gotta say this was a hell of a ride. I'd run through it again with the lights off.
