I have a question for you, do you think that video games is art? Personnaly, i always thought that way, and i think that the game that can proove this the best is celeste: celeste, is in my opinion the best video game ever made, with his wonderful story, about depression and acceptation, absolutly ne wonderfully tell on this simple but addictive quest of climbing a mountain. The gameplay is also toth and precise and yet fair and satisfaying, and can be put in practrice with a perfect level design : every level are a blast and every element here feels cohesive and perfectly feat. The score is one of the best of all the video games that i ever play : its upbit, atmospheric, but sometimes gave us a feeling of anxiety and danger, echoing the feeling of all the lovable character present...yes, im not scared of saying this, but celeste is my favorite games of all times

Ok, before i piss off everyone, i will just start with the positive:

The presentation is great: not only it look incredible for snes standard, but the music is also catchy as Fuck

Megaman control flawlessly and is a joy to play, with a great selection of movement and weapon

And i love the intro level: probably one of the best intro stage of all time, and the eagle stage is superb

Now that being said, the rest of this game is shit: i mean, the level design is a litteral jock: sure, some item are cleverly hidden, but the rest of the level design feel super flat and way too easy...all the regular stage last 5 minute, period. And it clash so hard with how bullshit some of the robot master are to fight...when you dont have their weakness, they became a jock after that

The final stage is ok, but the final boss is so easely breakable, especially if you have energy tank

And i dont get AT ALL why people love the story so much: its so, so basic, and the only ok thing there is zero...BUT HIS SACRIFICE IS WORTHLESS NOW, BECAUSE, HELLO SEQUEL

this game had everything, but it just forgot how to make good level design, and thats kinda sad

In my first review, i havent gave justice to this ovni of a video game, and i will try to do a better job of reviewing it

This game isnt really a game...but more like a visual and music spectacle, in which you control a program infiltrating a virus before killing his core...i know, it sound super simple, and thats because the gameplay is simple: its a railshooter where you hace two kind of weapon: your traditional laser, that will receive upgrade once you hit enough blue orb, and will need you to lock manually on a enemy to hit him, and a overdrive, that Can be activited only if you hit the red orb, and that will lock and shoot at all enemy automaticelly.

Yeah, the game, despite having rly great boss fight doesnt shine with the gameplay...but with the aesthetic ! You are just navigating in this virtual World, super simple and yet full of detail, and its just...mesmerising. couple with the very atmospheric and incredible music, it immerge you to this world like no other game

Because, despite being more a visual spectacle than a game, it wouldnt be the same if it was just a shortfilm, because the interactivity just add in the immersion and sense of wonder (also i love the fact that the lock on sound effect is a percussion one...its just so good for the atmosphere

This game is hard as hell....but damn everything about it is satysfying: the control, the gameplay, the weapon and enemy variety, the very ambitious level design...its also really beautiful, full of detail with a kick ass soundtrack...and the ending is just a beautiful middle finger to the player

I cant give it more than 3.5 star tho because sometimes, it can be very unfair and the game is very short, but you are defenetly going to have a blast with it

Ok, the car is sometime very heavy, the difficulty of some task ridiculous and as overall a lot of problem...but come on, this is one of the most impressive arcade game that i ever see: the control are tight, the map and level design impressive as fuck, the pretty visual and soundtrack and just the fun that escape from this game : i even like the fact that you earn money by being a gigantic ass hole while you drive

This is probably to me one of the game who inspired later GTA 3, even tho they are different in a lot of level, but the feeling you got behind the driver seat are as much fun in both game

This game is...kinda good, but also...kinda not?

Like, presentation wise, the game is honestly pretty good, colorfull, with very creative track theme and music, but the lisibility of it is really mediocre, especially when the screen shake (shoutout to snow Land), to the point that they needed to implement arrow that show up before turn...IF YOU NEED TO USE ARROW TO GUIDE THE PLAYER, IT MEANS THAT THERE IS A A PROBLEM SOMEWHERE (shoutout to bubsy 3d)

As for the gameplay, in one hand, the trach design is legit really good, with creative layout and especially shorcut for a flat mario kart, (unlike the track from super mario kart, who are conveniently enough in this game as well, showing us the clear difference of quality between the two game design), but the control are really messy and slippery: like, thé drift is really slippery, and even going straight is kinda messy, making it really sloppy to play

So...yeah, to keep it short: its a fusion between the worst of super mario kart, and the best of Mario kart 64, making it the most mid game in the franchise

But hey, at least, this game have the best version of sunset wild and sky garden lmao


This game is just...phenomenal in so many places...and i honestly dont know where to start... so, i guess i will start with the biggest strenght of this game: the scale of this game. This is. A gigantic and gorgeous open world game. On the fucking Nintendo Wii ! This game nail all the thing concerning a open world : interesting environment with rly good hidden area, gorgeous visual (especially satori swamp at night) and wonderful soundtrack, varied enemy, and rly good level design, that give you that envy of exploring everything right of the Gate. The only downside of the open world aspect are some of the quest, that revolve too much around collecting stuf....but other than that...this game is just mind blowing (and even for the quest part, some quest are just excellent, such as the reconstruction of colony 6)

A other great thing about this game is the gameplay : that sort of mix between a action rpg and turn based rpg is just genius: the gameplay as so many layer, and yet is oddly super easy to pick it up and to get the concept of everything. Plus all of the cast play super differently and can be usefull in, at least, some scénario (yes, even sharla)

Speaking of the cast: the characterisation is sometimes clichés, but as a whole, they are well written and super likable...surely not as much as celeste or red dead redemption 2 character, but still very good (except you Juju, obviously)

And good god, the story is great: sure, there is some slow part, and other part who are cliché as hell, but damn it, i wont spoil, but some of the revelation are just genius, and the story is just solid, im sorry

So yeah, im praising this game like if it was the best game ever made.... but why am i giving it "only" 4 star then?

Well, firstly, as i said, some of the side quest arent super enjoyable, because a lot of them are mindless collectathon

Secondly, because its a rpg, it as some rpg issue, such as a inventory that is quickly feels, or, and thats, by far, my biggest complain, some boss that are just too overpowered, and you just need to farm xp by doing boring quest or by killing random creature...yay

And btw, half of the boss are just bullshit, im sorry. Some just have frustating mechanic (such as hurting you if you attack them), or spawn billion of lil brat that will always quick your ass

But, even with all those complain, xenoblade chronicle still is a unbelievebly magical expérience, that will, despite his shortcoming, impact you at least at some degree

in all honestly, i found some of the control clanky as hell (i hate u wall jump) and some boss are or a jock, or stupidly hard if you dont know how to beat it...and the fact that you cant go back into the main area in the end is kind of stupid, even tho it make sense in the story

that being said tho....i adore this game...the exploration, the level design, all the super fun ability and mechanic that you can play with, make this metroidvania....a super metroidvania....kill me pls...

plus the graphism, the music and overall feels of this place are stunning even to this day

This games is the first video game that i truly remember loving, and even tho i prefer games like mkw or lego star wars from games in my childood, in my opinion, swap force still hold up. First of all, presentation whise, this games is freaking gorgeous and strangly have a good soundtrack. Secondly, the level design and gimmick, while easy, are still very enjoyable and are feels of creative background and enemy...behaviour, because the enemy themself are just creature... BUT DARK. The extra content are defenetly the highlight here, like this level when you can froze time is so damn cool, and has one of the best boss fight of the game...speaking of which, thé boss in this game are or pretty great, or a absolute pathetic jock, so thats kind of suck. Because yeah, the games is painfully easy, and the upgrade you can purchase, while fun, are broken for a lot of them. And yeah, the story is not really good even tho i like the character

My tips, play this game multiplayer in the campaign or the versus mode, its a blast

I wasnt sure that mortal Kombat was Bad...BUT FOR THIS ONE IM SURE: Ok lets start with the pros:
The games is impressive visually and technically
The music is great (for the megadrive thats a miracle)
Hum...green hills zone and spring yard zone are really solid zone
The games control fine

Ok lets start with the fun part: i cant stand the level design of this game...its just not build for the gameplay of sonic or fun: its full of bullshit and yet its stupidly easy. The bonus level are stupid and not fun like at all, and their only purpose its to collect chaos emerauld...AND ITS NO USE.

In the end, its more of a techdemo than a actual games, go directely play sonic 2 and skip this one

Seriously, this games is pretty good: i would say that the level design is a lil bit less good than in Sonic 2, its by far way more creative: the zone, except carnival zone, have all unic gimmick, with a great sense of speed, and beautiful environnment... because yeah, this game is pretty, with busy, but effective visual, nice sprite and background, really good cinematic for a megadrive and a killer soundtrack, like always

Sonic control as great than in sonic 2...except in the bonus stage...im talking about the sphere one, because the other one are not really fun and interesting honestly. in the bonus stage, there is a weird delay in every move you do, and overall its not very good

But, despite some flaws, this is still a pretty solid game, that i recommand playing

Its fast, pretty, sound good, control well and with good level design...and knuckles

Never a game gave me such a feeling of freedom!

This game is just...addicting, endless and just feel...real ! And it manage to pulls that effect simply by giving us the most freedom possible ! As soon as you get out of the crypt that served as a tutorial, you are just left Aline with the world that surround you, and, sûre, you can always follow the intended path directly to start immediatly the story, but....the game also let you go...basically everywhere from the get go. And that what this game is about: freedom and immersion : this effect is also pulled of by how the quest are structured: they basically dont have one, and you are only left with vague indication given by the rare npc, but this lack of structure allow you to tackle that said quest howewhere you want, and it even apply for the main story. Story that is quite interesting, yes, but, honestly, you will even forget that this game has one, because, again, the game let you do whatever you do, and wont force you to continue the story....again, adding to this sense of freedom and Wonder: wonder that is accentuate by the superb visual and divine music (even on older hardware).

Gameplay wise, its quite simple really, and feal like a dark souls spin off: two kind of attack, Parry, Roll, running, jumping, even spell for some class of character...but this simple gameplay, not only is effective, and make the game super satisfying when you beat a toth boss for exemple, but also show that, sometimes, the gameplay doesnt make the game

okay, sometimes this game repeat content (its a open world tho, so its unavoidable at this point), sometimes the camera doesnt work well, and sometimes the control can feal janky...but come on, its elden ring

one of the most thrilling game ever made if you ask me, just with all ths freedom you have

This game as just so much flow and creativity...MY GOD THE MUSIC LEVEL ARE GREAT AHHHHHHHH. Seriously the level design and variety are so great, the control and momentum of your character are flawless...this game'presentation is kickass too, with his exceptionnal music and graphism...just, this game make me want to see a other rayman game...but hey, at least, i can play a little bit of rayman legend, kung foot are challenge in this game until rayman 4 came out

Like the only bad thing i can think of is the fact that the boss are less good that origin, (still good tho) and the game is really easy...but thats it

This game is just nuts...and the only reason i still allow Ubisoft to exist lol
