A fairly charming and chill game, but one most certainly designed with children in mind. Some levels are so mind-numbingly simple that you don't get any real satisfaction out of completing them. Naturally, then, your inclination is to focus on the collecting/completionist aspect of the game to give yourself a little semblance of difficulty, but that brings me to another major criticism I have of this game: This game makes it obscenely annoying to go back and get any collectables you've missed. You might take one step too far in a level without realizing and then miss a collectable by no fault of your own, causing you to have to go back and replay the whole level just to get that one bit. That seems innocent enough, if it weren't for how slow-paced some of these levels are to go through! If there was a way to jump between certain segments of each level to make going back for the collectables more palatable, that would elevate this game a lot for me but as it stands the game is just too simple for me, along with the collecting aspect being bogged down by this. I would probably only really recommend this for super casual gamers or children, though I do get the charm that other people seem to enjoy about this game as well.

Probably even better than the first one with all of the added elements and even just the simple fact of being able to throw food! So fun as a co-op experience, doesn’t get much better than this! Excited to go through all of the Extra Trimmings that are part of the All You Can Eat version we’ve been playing these on! There’s a ton of added content on there!

Had a great time with this game! My biggest criticisms come down to both the combat getting pretty repetitive as well as the game certainly being longer and more stretched out than it needed to be. Other than that I had a swell time playing through this game. I enjoyed the mix of Game of Thrones-inspired story beats and absolutely metal action sequences which makes for a fun experience! I’m nearly at 100% so I’d like to clean that up as well as check out the DLC!

I had put over 800 hours into this game on the multiplayer side of things, but just now finally got around to playing through World of Light and wow I was NOT prepared for just how long and how difficult it would be to play through that on Hard! After what feels like 100 tries I finally beat the final boss on Hard and can rest easy knowing that I've properly finished one of my favorite games ever now lol

Quintessential co-op fun! Or... mostly fun, I should say. Just know that you will most certainly get frustrated and start yelling at each other, especially if you're playing with your significant other like I did. A simple but brilliant concept though, through and through!

I had a lot of fun with this one. As a fan of platformers I'm really glad I finally got a chance to play one of the Sly Cooper games and am definitely look forward to trying more! It definitely sets itself apart from other platformers by doing some cool and unique mechanics throughout the game and that variety in gameplay really elevated the experience for me!

Truly excellent rhythm game. With a library of over 300 songs, including some of the best video game music in history, it's hard to complain. It's so fun and addicting to play "just one more" all too often. Incredible game, and it honestly gets me in the mood to play some Final Fantasy games sooner rather than later!

This game was hot trash. The minigames were very uninspired, almost every single one was a bad Mario Party knock-off. And the board game mode itself was incredibly bland and not engaging in the slightest. My girlfriend and I couldn't make it through one full game, it was a total slog to get through.

So glad to finally have finished this game in its entirety! What a gem this game is. I was maybe TOO young when I first played this, and naturally Paper Mario became the Mario RPG series I was drawn to as a result. Now all these years later I have the ability to really appreciate this for what it is! I will say that the first two Paper Mario games are still a step above for me, but I also have to keep reminding myself that this was a damn SNES game so it deserves a lot of credit for doing all that it did decades ago. The biggest detractors in this game for me are the platforming segments being pretty annoying at times because of some weird depth perception, and the fact that the game is so easy to the extent that I never really struggled once throughout it. But I truly adore the action commands battle system as well as the fun dialogue and wacky, off-beat characters! I could see this being a great introduction RPG for young ones too! Definitely worth checking out, especially if you never played the original. The convenience of being able to play it handheld on the Switch is really nice as well.

I see the charm that this game has and I'm sure nostalgia elevates that for a lot of people, but having finally played it all the way through in 2023, I've gotta say that overall it's pretty middle-of-the-road for me. I didn't care for the story at all so I tended to tune that out and overall some of the worlds ended up being more annoying or frustrating than actually enjoyable. Worlds like Wonderland and even Traverse Town are incredibly mid, while worlds like Deep Jungle and Atlantica are absolute chores to get through. The worlds just overall feel like they lack any sort of depth and even Halloween Town, which is easily the coolest aesthetically, is no exception to that. Hollow Bastion is all around pretty solid and End of the World is incredibly cool up until it becomes incredibly frustrating. I just think some of these mid-air boss fights are not only really frustrating but also just straight-up poorly designed. That doesn't negate how effective End of the World was at what it was doing though, still want to give it major props for that. Overall the idea of having Final Fantasy characters and Disney worlds collide in one game is completely absurd and yet somehow worked and spawned a massive fanbase. I know this game had a big impact on so many people and I don't want to discount that at all, but it just didn't fully work for me in the year of our lord 2023. Despite all of that I mostly enjoyed my experience and am eager to play the sequels and see how the series develops.

I officially 100%'d this game today! The whole time through I was actually thinking, wow this game is maybe too easy for my liking... and then right at the end in order to 100% the game it kicks you in the ass with possibly the hardest Mario level of all time! I truly loved that challenge and it really elevated the game for me. Levels like that and the Daredevil Run in Mario Galaxy 2 are some of my most memorable Mario experiences and this one was truly an all-timer! 100%'ing this game is certainly not for the faint of heart, but if you just want to finish the base game then you should have no problems whatsoever!

I haven't had the chance to play with a group of people since like 2021 but this game is legitimately brilliant and deserves more credit than it gets. I know it's 2020's played-to-death super trendy game but it really is such a fun time when you have a group willing to hop in a voice chat. I've always loved these social deception-type games and this one really does everything right. Makes for a unique experience every time too! Would love to get a group together to play this again soon.

Started playing this with my girlfriend. Though it hasn’t aged perfectly it’s still surprisingly fun despite its simplicity.

Had a fun time playing this with my girlfriend but overall pretty mid as far as party games go. Some minigames are great, like the timing and counting based ones, but some minigames are not so great as a result of their controls. There are also little segments sprinkled in which award points based on random chance which is not so fun when you're competing.

Reallyyyyy bad just from about 10 minutes playing. I couldn't stomach any more.
