Very mediocre, not at all satisfying shooter. It seems like "tha thing" of this game was supposed to be it's crude humor, but it really just feels like r/funny subreddit text-to-speech that never shuts up. Despicable. I give it 2 stars for the effort. It's a pretty well functioning mature human irritating software. Soyboys will love it though. I'm not the one to complain about low quality graphics in games, but in this one the part about graphics that disgusts me is art direction. It's just ugly. Ugly for the sake of being funny, i guess.

Feels very raw
I'm pretty expierienced at colony games (rimworld, dwarf fortresss, etc) and i think it makes sense to compare it to these games. Generally speaking, in colony sim genre ou have to have some sort of unique selling point as simply having more of the same doesn't motivate players to switch to the specific game, as competitors played prior are likely to be near infinitely replayable and have everything that specific game in question has due to genre overlap.

Compared to something like rimworld, there isn't much point in playing it. The only few unique selling points are: setting, family tree with genetics, hygiene and water needs, animals play a huge role in the game (something that can be neglected entirely in rimworld).

Then again, most of these things can be modded in rimworld.

Some things i like about this title: The game doesn't feature any kind of direct control over colonists, which can be just as much of a blessing as a curse. A common thing of colony sims is that they may feel demanding on your microcontrol, otherwise you WILL fail.

Tech isn't researched here, it is gained by interacting with systems and gaining resources. I like it a lot because it motivates the player to get to know the game better, to interact with more systems. It just needs to be balanced carefully, since grinding for materials for the sake of researching and stuffing your stokepiles with trash isn't fun.

The graphics are genuinely ugly, clearly made by a programmer, though i admire the unique style. The UI is ugly and somewhat confusing to navigate. Very hard to see and read things on map.

I think there is a potential, this game needs way more polish, and as of right now there is no point in choosing it over modded rimworld. They NEED to work on graphics and UI. Like honestly, these are THE worst thing about the game, i literally didn't want to continue playing it because of it.

Fine simulation media, probably the best considering the mod support and community, but this isn't a game and that's my gripe. Could've been so amazing had they worked on progression and meta for this title, but no. Bare tits racing with randoms, take it or leave it. No wonder sim racing is barely alive.

The only thing this title adressed are horrendous car sounds in FH4. Otherwise it's just a new coat of paint on a game that doesn't intrigue. Very original.

One button combat, primitive story, dumb bosses. Nothing is good about this game other than graphics. This isn't a game, this is a tech demo benchmark for Xbox. Pretty impressive looking, but that's about it.

A definition of wasted potential. Could've been a pretty awesome vehicle combat RPG, but i reckon execs wanted everything made in ubisoft fashion, absolutely unnecessary third person "combat" and "exploration" of "thrilling" outposts. Cut this crap out, put all the effort into making the car part feel good and honestly you could've gotten something really special here. Story is also pretty redundant and not interesting. Few years later and i can barely remember what was the plot about.

Gen heartbroken by this game. Should've known better than getting my hopes up, but the premise was so good that i got baited by marketing team. World design is pretty generic, doesn't utilize the premise of a little world, things just look regular, but scaled down, so do habitats, they are just regular houses. Pretty generic, even dumb narrative (taking in the narration and general themes). The ecology message is cool as well as the premise of this worlds existence, but the tree and born-hero thing isn't very logical or intriguing. The factions are flat black and white. Bad guys do things because... they are bad and wise versa. This can work if the game has something going for it, this one however doesn't. The combat is nothingburger. I only really liked the idea, gun and character customizations in this title. The rest of it is bland.

Doesn't play like an open world title, it's more like a third person shooter on a big map of nothing. It's very notable for it's story, which i agree is pretty good, but the middle part of it (hunting people over and over again) is pretty repetitive. I feel like Witcher 3 has this problem too, but it isn't as prominent because there are way more activities in the game, while RDR1 feels like a chore at times. It's a great game if you can overcome the tedium of meh third person shooter. I'm certainly let down because people overhyped this game so much. Gameplay is 5/10, while story is a solid 8-9. Reminds me a bit of GTA IV in this regard.

The developer of this game is pretty impressively good programmer. He worked for a very long time on this game,as far as i know parallel with creating great deal of custom tech for it. Impressive that he didn't give up. On the other hand, this game has a pretty cool concept, but the game design part (adequate difficulty curve, tutorial, progression, level design) of it is lacking. It's quite common for movement games to be easy to pick up and hard to master, this one though is hard to pick up and even harder to master. Often times it even felt like me completing a level was more of a luck (AI decided to act irrationally) rather than my own skill. That's not satisfying game design.

Feels like every dev of every action game ever claimed to be "like gta". This developer never said that and just made a game that feels like gta.

A bit ugly to be completely honest, doesn't have the charm of simcity for example. It has all the elements but it never made me truly excited because of how meh my cities look. I think it's important for this genre to have a pretty looking presentation.

This is really more of a puzzle game, and a really satisfying one at that. There is no hassle to manage plumbing, roads, money inflow. This is just a self expression puzzle title with a very, very pretty graphics. There are definitely problems with the UX and UI, effect radiuses, highlighting, building stats display. It doesn't bother as much as it would in a game with monetary system.

basest videogame, one of the best in the commie killing genre

THE vibes, shooting, depths of the gun system, cool companions, unique setting. I still hold this game dearly to my heart, but it's also frustratingly doesn't want you to love it. If would have been the best if not for the shortness on content, dumb bugs and god awful NPC outpost respawn system, that respawns enemies every 5 minutes. Malaria is also pretty controversial. But i will forever remember it for being innovative, brave and simply beautiful uncut gem.

Grindfest. Cool mechanics and a lot of content, but too much random factors to be fun (for tanks).
