Less cynical this time. I think its flaws are still there. The disproportionate sexualization of the women, some really bad tropey scenes, the slow start mechanically and narratively with poor tutorials, yeah. That’s there. But beneath that? There’s one of the most fun battle systems and genuinely fantastic, existentially terrifying stories there. And a cast I love. Except Tora. This run did not sell me on Tora. But a better understanding from the top made this replay make the game click, and click a lot more. Morag Ladair you will always be famous.

If the game hadn’t reset my progress I would probably have become a serial killer.

How bored were we to hype up gimmicky gag games that sucked fucking balls for content.

Joke game, too bad it fucking sucks! 14 year old me spent money on this shit. Fuck were you doing. Questioning your sexuality and buying dog shit joke games? What a loser. No wonder she didn’t like you back.

Amy is neat, but should have been in the base game. Same for Knuckles in CD. This is fine for casual fans but I'd say wait for a sale. I still got softlocked in a mission. Great.

Possibly the easiest 100% I’ve seen, more Shulk and Melia is good and it’s fun in the sense that it’s built on an amazing game. But the main threat feels like a unique monster (and is such an easy boss) and the most tangible villain is written out in a cutscene. The greatest character in the series returns though. More Bana is good. Also really assumes you’ve done Tyrea’s sidequest in the main game, which kind of adds to me wishing they’d made that mandatory. It’s fine, but the story and themes that the main game boasted just aren’t here. The new Nopon are fine but I didn’t leave feeling attached to them either. Also the ai is really fucking bad for Shulk jesus christ.

Bana kingpin all along!

Ubisoft makes one of the most beautiful and goated 2d platformers and then proceeds to not give it a sequel.

Wish i was better at it but the game fucking rules

I don’t rate games until I beat them usually. This is subject to change of course, but this has been magic. It doesn’t invalidate BotW. It improves upon it, but it also understands the creative value its predecessor held. It’s rewarding to see a fresh, changed Hyrule, and the extent to which it’s changed. The overworld holds, yet the approach one takes to it is so vastly different. The start is more linear to let you play with the new, complex mechanics, and this meant it took a while to hook me. However, once it did, I’ve been blown away. Shrines constantly wow me and the character work is stronger, voice direction is better, graphics and lighting are better, and the rewards for creativity are immense. Zonai devices are not really forced upon you, yet using them has made the game ever more fun for me. A love letter to all Zeldas which preceded it, and a refinement of what BotW introduced whilst allowing the original to stand on its own atmospherically and mechanically. Mwah. Maybe my rating will fall. We’ll see. Doubt it though!
EDIT: I BEAT IT. 6 STARS IF I COULD LMFAO ONE OF THE BEST GAMES I EVER PLAYED GRAAAAHHHHHHHHH

Definitely more layered and understandable than the first. I enjoyed the first but yeah, this is much nicer. Genuinely can be scary with its endings. Good stuff, a pleasant surprise.

Playing Sonic the Hedgehog made me like furries again.
No one should take anger against one or two individuals and transform that into hatred towards millions of innocent people
No Sonic fan can be labeled as against furries knowing Sonic is Furry
Thank you Sonic the Hedgehog I love you

This game was about me. A manic man trying to cook, pushed to his limit. Sorrow of the common man.

Edit: im not a man anymore this games not about me sorry guys
