I was browsing steam store when i found this, didn't know there was a additional half life content, which i had to try out!
It's a short demo made to showcase technical aspects and level design that includes developers commentary. I found it interesting, and it was fun to shoot stuff in half-life universe again.

Picked up from Game Pass, played for 4 hours, and dropped.
It has been 12 years since the prequel, and this game doesn't have as much going on as I would've hoped. I know it's been in development hell, and I probably enjoyed the first one more just because I was a kid smashing zombies with friends, which was enough to keep me engaged - but this time, I quickly lost interest.
The combat is fun, but it quickly became less enjoyable as time went on because not many new elements were introduced, and it felt like I was repeatedly fighting the same way.
The plot and characters are mediocre at best, with the satire and comedy aspects being tame and not that funny.
I've got to commend the performance on Xbox Series S - the game feels responsive and smooth with no frame loss.
