2023

I will have to try every recipe in this game that I have access too.

Where to even begin with how trash this game is? Items aren't properly signaled, the most important shop in the game is hidden and without it the game is just a grind, why decide to scale difficulty based on some flat upgrades anyway, really weird small design decisions like why does Ramona's coffee ability refill exactly 5 HP? Why can I get locked in by an enemy and attack hundreds of times until I game over with no way to escape but the enemy is invincible once it hits the floor???!!! Why the heck are there portions with puzzle jumping in a 2.5D game where you Z width is 1 pixel and you cant even tell the distance into background? Just an overall burning pile of garbage, but I did beat it, so I'm pretty proud of myself. Do not buy this, play something like River City Girls instead.

Dear Future Me,

you really enjoyed this game because it made you think about death in a compassionate and respectful manner. In fact it made you tear up a little thinking about all the times you or someone you know could have died. Especially that scene with the car accident.
Fuck cars. All motorists are terrorists.
Anyway go discover some more death positive media, its good.

Kind regards,
xoxo etc

Let this be a lesson not to invest in beautiful assets before you got the core gameplay down.

I was kinda scared I might get lost :( But then I got lost and it wasn't as bad as I thought :)

Microtransactions, timed building, gems.

Game flow is not engaging enough, not concentrated enough. There is too much need to move around the map. The need to click on produced goods to receive them, as well as the excessive amount of events are both offensive.

A highly addictive base building game. So addicting in fact that i spent all night sitting in the corner of my room completely drawn into the animations of the little fights of my little men and little women and frogs and crows and snakes. This game made me understand how people might enjoy watching any sport.

As for the gameplay loop, I am not sure what to think about there being no challenge to you from the other villages, but rather that you have to choose to attack whenever you are ready. I think this design choice was meant to highlight the core gameplay of building your base and unlocking new chapters in the history of your base when you match certain milestone points represented by the other villages.

Fantastically addicting game, yet the lack of documentation and the presumptious pre-destined best-possible combinations of themes and genres were too frustrating, detracting from the overall experience.

The core mechanics of frantically moving your character around on the screen to hire actors and crew quickly became tedious. Not to mention the horrible mechanic of having to press on the little buildings to collect your research points and income. This felt less like a simulation or strategy game and more like a Disney Activity Center. Very disappointing compared to Ninja Village and Game Dev Story.

Pretty neat city planner but it's too preoccupied with traffic. Not at all up to date on the current literature on spatial planning.

Best Mario game I have ever played. This game is pure joy.
