i don't know if this a fair rating really. i was just so bored that i couldn't continue playing it to find out.

2017

in terms of gameplay, almost flawless. during the end game, you'll be running from section to section, and if you're still playing games with HDDs like me, there's going to be a lot of waiting for loading screens to finish. narratively, the ending does feel abrupt, even with the post credits.

really fun until the final section, where encounter design is frustrating and there's too little ammo. really reminded me of FEAR.

janky climbing, visually dull. powers are really fun, but why isn't there any fast travel?

surprisingly great. fun visuals, lots of customization, great traversal. could've benefitted from a double jump. steam version pretty broken, though.

good but bloated compared to the first

2016

If you want your 60 hour playthrough to completely break just before you reach the end game because you can't complete a quest due to bugging out, despite having multiple stability patch mods installed, this is the game for you!

fun but clunky, difficulty spike at the end made me drop the game before finishing

Enjoyable but has an unsatisfying, abrupt ending.

Great aerial/space combat hampered by needless ground vehicle and atrocious on-foot sections that take up far too much of the game.

Barely qualifies as a game, more like a tech demo

better than l4d2 ¯\(ツ)
