The short campaign is much more enjoyable with snappier controls and skipable cutscenes. Additional side content, achievements, and difficulty options flesh out the game and make it feel as big as it should’ve always been.
Obligatory backstory to understand what’s happening in MGSV (a useless endeavor as I’d soon discover) that does a decent job setting up the main game. I just wanted to get into the real game and it felt less polished by direct comparison.

For the first time in a long time, a sequel to one of my favorite franchises made me change my favorite game in that series. This game took everything that made the first 3 games great and expanded upon all of it. Easily my game of the year.
The best philosophy-themed game I played. I liked the multiple endings and plot twists. Playing as a girl in a skimpy leather outfit and heels wasn’t too bad either. As a bonus, runs at 60fps on the base PS4
