I love this idea and the execution was pretty fun. Making Mario Party minigames into bonus stars is so clever, and the Mario Party 1 boards are fairly diverse so you don't really feel like you're retreading ground in terms of level types.

However, and I'm not sure if this is my computer or settings or what, I kept having minigames crash on me. I couldn't do the one in DK's Jungle Adventure because it wouldn't load, a few of the ones you buy in shops wouldn't load, and probably more I'm forgetting, so I just can't finish this fully. Hell, even the final boss fight with Bowser I couldn't finish because it chose a minigame that wouldn't load.

The palm tree fight was incredible.

10 star for the intro screen
0 star gameplay
That's an honest 5 baby

Ok but why does the plot go so deep here?

I'm lawyer so I have to start this review saying that's not how a court works and you'll never see a lawyer on the field looking for clues.

I know the game doesn't try to be realistc but I think they lost a really good chance to be more real. I'm not a huge fan of paranormal part on the plot. They should have focus on a lawyer trying to start his carrear in a very import trial.

The game is also to long and we lost a lot of time on the field looking for clues. The fun part is the trial and we have to wait a lot to get to this point.

The trial is very fun but you save the game often, unless you don't see a problem to play again 30 minutes of something that you already did.

I was expecting to really see consequences if I fail. My client should go to the jail if I wasn't good enough. They lost a good chance to do that.

The good parts are amazing but there are something that made me fell bored on the gameplay.

Foi uma hack interessante embora seja ruim jogar Overcooked sozinho, uma bela demonstração de como o Romhacking evoluiu no N64.

This game is for children. It’s phenomenal for them. My daughters and I beat it this morning and they were enraptured every second of it. If you are on this site you are not the target audience lol

Another day. Another journey to retrieve your siblings from a series of increasingly complicated mazes.

The core game play is much like a game of operation; you navigate an object through a series of tight spaces. In this case, you move a spinning bird with its wings outstretched like huge rectangles, forming a massive bar. If you touch any of the various obstacles or walls within a given level you lose a life. Lose three lives and you're booted allllll the way back to the start of the level.

The core game is identical to that of Kuri Kuri Kururin, except that there's 40 levels split across five zones. Each of the zones alternates traditional levels with levels where you possess an additional ability - one allows you to submerge yourself in water to dodge obstacles, one allows you to punch enemies, etc... Each of those power ups are then given to you in order to defeat a boss at the end of each of the five zones.

Compared to its predecessors, Squash is a vastly superior experience. Controls are tighter due to full analog control, the gimmicks are used incredibly well in each zone, and level design is generally far more interesting. It falls into the same issues that Kuri Kuri does in that its later levels are too long and too overly complicated to be interesting, but instead of an 8 level slog, its a set of three that are blisteringly difficult at the very end. Crikey.

It's a truly unique and incredibly well executed game full of collectible coins and no hit run bonuses to driven repeated engagement. For those fully inclined, there's active time attack enabled in each level to challenge the bravest to run each maze as fast as possible. I for one, am not that brave.

It is truly the pinnacle of the formula established on the Game Boy Advance; in playing it you understand that these game designers truly reached the limits of their concept.

You should definitely check this one out.

One of the most inspiring pieces of software I have ever had the pleasure of using, 10 years on I am still amazed that someone made their own Mario 64 on their computer.

i get that it was for multiplayer support, but nintendo including this in every mario game for a while there felt like a kid really proud of their school project showing everyone in the family. best part is, it was pretty good.

all of the scores below 3 were put down by wasps
