On paper this game could have been better than the original, and it is in a lot of departments, but it's marred by clunky design flaws and an endless sea of bugs that seem to pop up with each passing patch. Somewhat disappointing, honestly, but at least campaign mode is nice. Hyped for Mr. Krabs.

mario kart DS is and always will be one of the most groundbreaking games in the series, and its funny how it accomplished that by basically only improving on the formula set by the previous games. the controls in this game are phenomenal and the new tracks are some of the most iconic in the series and by far. the roster is somewhat small compared to the games that succeed it but it is the perfect balance of characters to please anybody. they even threw R.O.B in there for some reason.

nintendo's greatest achievement, need i say more?
i love this game to death. has one of the coolest rosters of any platform fighter, even with the out of nowhere picks. the controls feel responsive and flow extremely nicely. the community is insanely nice and friendly. is it lacking in casual content? yes. is there no crossplay yet? yes. but those are small blemishes on this game tbh. it's a shame this game has the reputation that it has. it's wonderful.

it's alright. i think what makes it so fun is the casual appeal. however competitively i dont find it that interesting. the controls feel kinda slippery and clunky too, and 1v1 mode kinda sucks. however, 2v2s are insanely fun especially with a buddy. i main tom & jerry.
