legend of zelda tears of the kingdom dares to ask the bold question of 'what if gmod was on the nintendo switch'
surprisingly it does not run very well
post-actually beating the game review: it's breath of the wild dlc but $70. it's fun to mess around with the gmod stuff until you go play gmod and have more fun and then realise all the shrines and temples are either borrowed from or worse than the first one. i like the goat milf in the playboy bunny outfit.
overall 10/10 game of the year again see you in 6 years when they add a 4th map that's the same as the main one

A fun little platformer with writing reminiscent of the show's glory days. Doesn't do anything particularly groundbreaking with the genre and could've definitely used some more polish in areas regarding the AI and the camera but overall definitely worth a playthrough.

A very unfortunately mediocre game. I came into it wishing I'd be able to come out saying 'oh this game doesn't deserve the hate it gets' but... no it really does. Essentially a bad 2 hour movie with some of the worst gameplay the Sonic franchise has ever seen spliced in between. Some of the soundtrack here is pretty good, the visuals looks rather pretty when the stages aren't sticking to the palette of orange and brown, and the avatar creator is neat. That's about as much praise as I can give this game. I'd only advise picking it up if you're a hardcore Sonic fan (or want to play with mods!)

actual review: the game is fine. it's not beating all stars racing transformed anytime but it plays fine. biggest losses here from the other two riders games are the static cutscenes and no more cool sega cameos :( it's not hard to think there's a sizable difference in budget between what the last game got and what this kinect exclusive got but it's still... actually fun.

The basic gameplay has been improved on (mostly) and the writing is just as good as the last game but I really want to know what they were smoking when they were coming up with movesets and balancing characters in this game because even on the hardest difficulty there's just not a lot of challenge to be found here unlike the first game, with the vast majority of playable characters being broken in some way. ggs rayman died for this

sonic cd's level design is focused more around exploration then it's predecessor(s). some very nice environments and music but the game design is boggling. your two choices for finishing the game and getting the good ending are fucking around in stages for 10 minutes trying to find all the generators to get a 'good future', the other is to go through like a typical classic sonic games collecting 50 rings to enter a special stage and collecting the time stones in what are probably the worst designed special stages in the entire series. one of these options is painfully slow, the other is painfully unfun.

tl;dr the fucking phone game is better than both of the new $60 releases in this franchise
played this on an iphone 11 mirroring to TV. performance was alright (though there really needs to be an FPS cap and better performance settings). the level design and controls here feel like the perfect mix between the adventure and boost games. it's not perfect (knuckles/rouge gliding in particular feels a bit too heavy and sensitive to turning) but i had enough fun to bother going back after i beat the story to get all 101 dream orbs
