maybe i'm just not enough of a persona fan or hardcore gamer but the writing was dull as hell and the bosses felt like a silly tedious difficulty spike

this was obviously a super cheap-ass game but it was decently fun

fun but sometimes it gets so tedious waiting for every single enemy to take their turn -_-

surprisingly decent story but they were cowards for not letting you fight the evil lady directly

something about this game just makes it so hard to finish

it's fun but it also has a weirdly depressing vibe to me

this doesn't really stick out either way, it's just a solid classic jrpg

it's a good game I just have like 600 hours of grotto grinding in it and would rather die than think about it ever again

the best DQ imo (i have not finished XI)

i barely remember the story except it ended up being kinda evangelion-y but the combat and class design was surprisingly good

whatever goodwill I might've had for this game is erased by the endless time loops -_- even nier isn't this bad. if you're gonna make us replay the exact same section of the game at least give the alternate universe little gimmicks like, idk, everyone is wearing eyepatches

fun gameplay the story is just power of friendship seguing into reddit atheism at the end

I love the horror aspect but the mystery/deduction thing felt a bit meh sometimes. The first half of Chapter 3 feels like a miserably slow endless scooby doo chase sequence
