This is a pretty fun and enjoyable horizontal shmup. I didn't find it as brutal as the mainline Touhou games, but it will still offer a good challenge for less hardcore shmup fans like myself.

The Barrier, Death Bomb, and Danmaku Rush mechanics are what shine most here, giving you some seriously powerful offensive and defensive options. If you've played a few of the mainline entries, you'll find plenty of fun and recognizable characters sprinkled in with the EoSD cast.

The only "negatives" to this game I can really think of is that I wish the customization items weren't quite so expensive

I really enjoyed the 5 hours or so I spent with this game, even if I never did get that Normal 1CC, but I can definitely see myself coming back to it again sometime.

The level design is so all over the place, it makes this game really unfun to play; I'd rather play Sonic 1 than ever play this again. Great music though.

2007

it might pacify you for a while, but it will never quite fill that Elite Beat Agents/Ouendan hole in your heart.

I've tried playing this game two or three different times but I always keep dropping it after just getting a few hours in. The game holds your hand FAR too much and the constant unskippable cutscenes are a nuisance.

This was already a really great entry, but for a long while I felt like New Leaf was still just a tiny bit better....until the 2.0 update and the Happy Home Paradise expansion that is. With 2.0 and the expansion, this is, hands-down, the ultimate and most fun Animal Crossing experience.

I'm honestly at a loss, I have no idea what they can even do to improve or build upon the series as it is now in any big meaningful way outside of just making the individual characters even more unique and adding even more furniture/customization options.

This is probably the cutest but most unfun thing I've ever played. I got to the stage 3 boss before giving up; the aiming is just way too jank and finicky, plus with Cotton always obscuring my view and the constant gravitation pull towards the screen's center, it's just not worth the struggle. It's next-to-impossible to figure out exactly where you're aiming and if you're even hitting what you're attempting to aim at.

It's a shame this game is so riddled with issues, because it's probably the cutest game in the series; I love the anime FMVs and how adorable the in-game models look.

I never got the play the Four Swords game ;_;

I remember basically nothing about this game except getting frustrated at times, but I somehow remember it fondly still.

A very cute & colorful shmup. I absolutely adore how well they remade this game. I never played the original version before now either, but it's REALLY nice that the X68000 version is included so you can compare. I love the pixel art of that version, but I must honestly say I strongly prefer everything else about the remade version.

Playing as Cotton was fun, but I really started having a blast after I unlocked Appli. I played the Arranged Mode on Normal once with Cotton, and then with Appli. Then I played both 2-minute and 5-minute modes of Time Attack as Appli as well.

This is also a really great entry point for people who've never played shmups before, as you aren't punished for using all the continues you want to get through the game. There's no secret boss or "true ending" or such hidden behind 1CC runs here, and that's kind of nice, honestly.

A bizarre and sometimes nonsensical game that feels like it's trying to say something and say nothing at the same time. It's incredibly short and has 9 endings (or 10 if you're playing on PC). I already got 6 of the endings, but I don't feel compelled to play anymore of it. It wasn't a bad way to kill an hour, but it's really just a whole lotta "meh" for me. I'm kinda glad I bought this on sale.

None of these games feel very good. Vasara 1, Vasara 2, and Vasara Timeless all feel too slow (even when playing as the "fast" characters) and your hitbox seems too large. The music is also really middling, which is a huge L. I like the aesthetic though; Edo period Japan but mechs.

I love this game and this series. This is the first game in a long time I've gotten all the achievements for. I picked this up on Steam when it came out in 2019, played the Hanzo story and some of the Hebijo, but then wound up taking a 3 year break from it all somehow (time flies). But I'm really glad I came back to finish the Hebijo side and grab all the cheevos. I had such a blast doing it.

Yozakura still is, and always will be, best girl.

This game is a lot like Overwatch except even more boring to play.

I wish this game was fun to play; the art, music, characters, and story are all really nice but it's just barely a step above F/GO in gameplay and it's literally sleep-inducing.

Playing UNIST or BlazBlue separately is far more enjoyable. Also just one Senran Kagura rep?? Whack.
