I unlocked Blooshi today. Been playing through the Wild in the Witchlight campaign, and I'd be remiss if I failed to mention that I'm enjoying the writing once again, which in this campaign is often cute (Nat) or funny (Yorven, Blooshi). Unlocking Blooshi required completing the Bully for You! variant, which is like a Split the Party challenge on steroids; a fun challenge. Blooshi is supposed to be a really useful support and a good character to put legendary equipment on, so I wanted to start gaining item levels for her with my improved gem farm as soon as possible. She's also a fun character: she's a teenager who's really into how "cool" evil is, and she keeps trying to make friends with every evil character she meets (including enemies of the Champions).

I finally got my automated Briv farm working, where he jumps all the way to z569 and builds over 5,000 stacks without enemies dying prematurely so he can do it again. Really tricky to dial in the damage just right on a 3j Briv; this will be infinitely easier when I get to 4j and can skip every boss (and require far fewer stacks). It was a fun self-made puzzle to pick at, and it's roughly doubled my gem income, so I'll be able to reach 4j much sooner while better equipping event champs in the meantime.

Finally reached 100% 3j Briv and took some time to set up a Modron-automated gem farm that gives him stacks at the end. It's certainly a challenging puzzle to solve as you use other champions' abilities to trigger a surge in power after enemies have built up on Briv for a while. You need to very carefully tune click damage (gold find), champ damage bonuses, and support ability placement within the formation. I have something that's a functional loop, but it's a bit sloppy at the end, wasting too much time on multiple zones and failing to provide as many stacks as I'd like on Briv. A work in progress.

More detail:

Got my first-ever automated Briv farm up and running on Cursed Farmer. Briv is 100% 3j. Resets at z569. Every other run, Briv skips all the way to the end, and every other run we slog through zones 545 (where clicks stop one-hitting) to 569. Boss on 550 reaches the party and stops Shandie. I can't raise my gold find / click damage without prematurely killing enemies in my stack zones from 566 to 569. Using Minsc and Dragonbait. Minsc on Beasts makes 551 through 565 smooth except for the farmhand and the owlbear. Farmhand dies just after reaching the party, and owlbear dies around powering up x7. I might try increasing Minsc's damage a little bit more and see if it helps or ruins the stacking zones.

After feeling like I couldn't tune any better, I let it run with small speed potions and came up with 377 BPH over 5 hours, which is definitely an improvement over my previous non-Briv farm (straightforward speed champs to z630, with a medium fire breath popped around 570). Medium speed will be even better, although partly wasted, I expect. It's certainly a significant gem farm upgrade but not quite life-changing. I'm a little disappointed by how much time is wasted in my stacking zones; on every other run, where Briv doesn't have enough stacks to jump all the way, we're waiting for enemies to build up on 4 straight zones (566 through 569), which feels very inefficient, but I can't seem to improve it without messing things up.

Eager to get 100% 4j as soon as humanly possible now since I think it will be much, much more efficient both because it can skip every boss and because it will require far fewer stacks to reach similar distance, which should let it be a consistent farm instead of wobbling back and forth between fully jumping and walking the last 100+ zones with a long stretch of slow stacking. Would probably set it up for stacking on z566 and 571 with reset on 571, but if I'm rebuilding the farm anyway I might as well push favor more first and set up at a higher zone. Actually... I will want to switch to Witchlight for quick transitions with 4j Briv, so I'll be pushing a different kind of favor. Gonna be a long wait on those ilvls, but I'm looking forward to it.

Just watched Matt and Bats play Quixort and 'helped' rather than participating directly.
