One of the best games I've ever played. Clive is one of the best written protags in any game I've played, it feels like he's just always growing and that's awesome. Worldbuilding is really well done and I recommend doing all the side quests on your first playthrough, they drag at times but it's worth it all once you get to the end, which the ending is absolutely beautiful. I feel like it was a perfect conclusion to Clive's story. The combat is probably the best out of the modern FFs, very customizable and messing with all the Eikon abilities is really enjoyable. All the boss fights are super over the top and badass and are definitely some of my favorites in gaming. OST is also pretty peak. Overall pretty big step up from 15 (coming from someone who loves 15) and top 2 Final Fantasy free for me.

Played this game for the first time last year and it instantly became one of my favorites, it may be what finally knocked KH2 out of my top 3 but i need to replay it to confirm that. It's a short game and the story is alright, but the gameplay is where it really shines. I've played a decent amount of action games this is by far my favorite. I'm typically not a fan of QTEs but the way they were implemented in this game was peak. I also adore the dynamic music, the lyrics kicking in for rules of nature when you're fighting metal gear ray is how I knew it was going to be something special. Honestly probably my favorite OST in all of gaming. This also one of the few games where I feel like I could just keep replaying it for years and never get bored of it

Probably the most let down I've ever been by a game lol. Hard carried by the fact that the bayonetta sections were fun, the viola sections made me want to kms LMAO. Story was also dogshit, glad it came out shortly after i got into the serious bc i would've been mad tight if i had to wait 7 years for this piece of shit like everyone else

I think this game is pretty ass but for the time it came out was pretty crazy. Main reason I give it 5 stars still though is because it's one of the games I have the earliest memories of playing, I used to play with my cousins when I went to visit my grandma. Also beating on the kids at church when my mom used to make me go was lit
My mom got this for me around when we got a wii bc it had mario on the cover and i was REALLY into mario games when i was a kid (i was like 7 when this game came out) and inadvertently changed my life bc I probably would not have gotten into comp smash or met all the amazing people I have so far if it wasn't for that. Played the shit out of it as a kid, subspace was peak, and I also would just be having a blast beating on cpus with ike marth and mario. Also blew my mind that sonic was in the game, i definitely went airborne when he pulled up in subspace LMAO
2020
i'm dogshit but still probably one of the most lit games ever LMAO, this shit blew my mind when i was a kid bc they made it like melee and brought back roy n mewtwo. I went to pm events pretty frequently early last year before our local scene died down a bit, met some homies thru that game. Knuckles also lit and prob who I would play if I took the game seriously
From a competitive standpoint this game got some issues fs but I still enjoy playing it overall. Had been watching tournaments since like 2015 but didn't get to go to locals until like 2021 bc of parents lol. I've met my literal best friends through this game and i get to play as cloud (goat) so I can't get myself to hate it even if it pisses me off a lot sometimes LMAO
2005
Another heavily influential game in my life. After playing the first game i wondered why the series had been hyped up to me and then I played this one and holy fuck man. I absolutely adore this game, probably some of (if not the best) gameplay in any rpg i've played. Also introduced Roxas, who is probably one of my favorite characters in all of fiction. My jaw dropped at the end of the final boss when you deflect all those lasers, shit was so lit
