I've played 7 hours of this game and I cannot convince myself to play any more of it.

The person battles were a lot of fun and I enjoyed them. The gear battles were alright, I didn't hate them but I didn't love them either. The music was hit or miss. For example, "Bonds of Sea and Flame/Fire" is amazing, while the music at Bledavik is actually quite painful.

I think the story is interesting, but the way it's presented makes it too complicated to understand. I shouldn't have to search the internet for plot summaries or Q&A's of the game's story - both which I have done just to simply UNDERSTAND what is going on, to answer the question "WHY SHOULD I CARE?", and/or to find the motivation to keep playing. (Motivation was not found.)

I think if I had played this game earlier in my life (when I was still very impressionable, or before I had received a degree in Psychology) then I probably would have liked it more.
