Games Where On The Second Playthrough The Unknowable Language From The First Is Learned
in Heavens Vault, I believe everything you learned from the first playthrough carries into the. ext, but they don't just give you everything.

You Are a Wizard
it's kind of all over the place... the humor mostly doesn't land and the heartfelt stuff is rushed (like, why am I getting over the fight my boyfriend and I had only seconds after finding out that my boyfriend and I had a fight??) plus, the gameplay isn't enjoyable and doesn't serve any narrative purpose either.

just beat my first run.... yes during work hours.... yes it's may day feck off....
I'm really into this! apparently there are other gambly roguelike games out there like this, though I've only ever played inscryption and dicey dungeon. so I can't comment on whether this is better than slay the spire.
what I can say is that it feels great to discover strategies through the randomness. it brings me a similar joy as playing the Binding of Isaac in my youth did, but what I enjoy more as an adult is its self-paced gameplay, which lets the player really dig into the joy of the game, which is pondering over what choice to make next.
my only gripe is that the font is a bit too small on my new switch lite.
an aside: a member of a once prominent emo revival band told me he has 1000 hours on slay the spire on his switch. van life will do that to you.
