Spectacular presentation. The opening hours really grip you and keep you engaged in the mystery, like 999/Nonary. However, I found the 3rd act kind of disjointed and rushed feeling compared to similar games, like 999.

Square establishes the FF formula, and it’s still one of the best examples of this formula.

I find this game incredibly replayable. I’ve beaten it more times than any other FF or JRPG.

I think FF and JRPGs in general could learn a lot by going back and looking at how this game handled overworld travel and resource management.

Simple things like getting an item that lets you cast a spell for free to avoid using precious spell slots is super satisfying.

I start crying 2 seconds into the title screen song.

My favorite shooter of all time.

This was super sick when I played it in 2001.

I consider completing this game getting the ura 2 loop, so I will never complete it.

Incredible shooter.

My first jrpg. Played it again recently. Loved it just as much. Comfy.

Like this game enough to own the arcade board. Prefer it’s Japanese title: Vampire Hunter

A new direction for Fire Emblem. For better and worse.

The vampire survivors and Diablo 2 hybrid I didn’t know I needed.
