Generation 9 (aka current gen) Ranked
Much like a lot of folks, Gen 9 started a bit late for me-- since I'm a damn fool I missed my chance to pre-order in 2020, and current-gen hardware was real hard to come by for years afterward.
I bought a PS5 in summer 2023, when they were finally available on store shelves. I still don't have an Xbox Series X|S or a current-gen PC, so this list is going to be pretty Sony-centric for now. It will also include a few PS4-era games that I'm just now getting around to.

10 Games
Platinum'd in October 2023 and I'm still playing it. GOTY 2023 by a country mile and, if the DLC pans out, it could be a solid game-of-the-generation contender.

OK, this is a PS4 game but I played it on a PS5, and I'll probably still be thinking about it when there is a PS9.

The main series of episodes was a tad lackluster but the stand-alone bonus episode "Archangel" is fantastic, and could have been an entire series of its own.

Surprisingly excellent. "Better or worse than Astro's Playroom" will be an oddly useful benchmark this gen.
