love that this is on backloggd. anyway play dragon neopets

if pop cap had made insaniquarium 2 we'd be living in the good timeline utopia rn

awesome concept and you can possess a cat

having to manually walk through the open world city to get to locations was fucking annoying

Enemies can't jump or climb so you become invincible by standing on rocks

identifying what animals are nearby by musical motifs was interesting and i liked the atmosphere but a bug erased all my game progress :|

boat building is nice, though it's weird that decks only have the same amount of item space as hulls.

Fascinating IF classic where the truth of the story changes.

love the atmosphere and the characters felt nuanced. some elements to the ending felt kind of handwaved in favour of cool ghosts stuff but w/e thats ok

the dialogue mechanic is interesting since you choose when to speak, not just what to say.

the story associated with the collectibles is fun.

if you run out of resin u could aways try touching some grass

if you think those puzzle desks with 15 hidden drawers are super awesome. this is the game for you

2016

pretty :)

absolutely beautiful world.

banger soundtrack and theres achievements for opening a clock app, hacking a clicker game to give yourself infinite points and swearing in an email.
who cares if forkbombing someones computer with a single command called "forkbomb" isnt """realistic"""

there is a story but youre really gonna be playing it for the missions and gameplay style

Really nice atmosphere, enjoyed taking pictures.

Could have used a sprint toggle since you want to sprint nearly 100% time which hurts to hold down after a while. Not sure why there was a crouch toggle but no sprint toggle actually, crouching is barely used.

I walked halfway across the map between two crime scenes several times before figuring out that the word clouds were a gameplay mechanic and not just telling you to find something, so that was annoying.

Final twist was just OK.

played singleplayer. pretty fun honestly, the puzzles weren't complicated but took me back to trying to play fireboy and watergirl and controlling both characters at once.

idk wtf was going on at any point

had fun fishing, especially in local co-op when we busted out the sea shanties playlist.

the controls are kind of weird, though, with 'confirm' being different buttons in different menus and stuff like that which meant you never really got used to it or got into a flow.

the quest progression was also confusing. there'd been a spot on my map marked as a quest for several in-game days that i could not get into the building for, only to look it up and find that that quest couldnt be accessed yet. sooooo why did it have a marker..?

what story i played was alright and the 2d art style was super charming even if i didnt like the 3d/overworld style much.

super fun puzzles that are really intuitive but still make you feel huge brain
