Most of the time I can usually see why people tend to like a game when I don't, this time around I really really struggle to see that. For me the game has 0 redeemable qualities. The gameplay is almost as bad as the first, if not the same level. A slower hack slash that has a shitty parry/guard mechanic and no dodge mechanic for most of the game, just doesn't do it at all for me. The story for half of it is just retelling of disney movies? Horrible build up and the revisits felt completely redundant and didn't offer anything worth it. Build up to the final world didn't feel like it existed. Obviously you're supposed to take in the context of Re:chain of memories and 358/2, but finding those boring and uninteresting, it doesn't help the narrative at all here. Antagonist group is just there and don't feel as developed. I've voiced my complaints about the disney characters before, but genuinely, what is their point? The original characters like Sora, Roxas, Kairi, etc. just aren't interesting. All the story bit happen in the last few hours of the game, one 'good' moment doesn't change the rest of the games, nor was the ending parts rewarding either.

Only the cutscenes were on xbox, they were alright, didnt need to be 3 hours

This is like the 2nd fastest I’ve dropped a game I think. Don’t wanna give this one anymore of a chance, I’ll just watch a yt vid and move on to the next.
I really really really don’t like the gameplay in this one
After watching playthru: The plot sucks too

Well it’s a start ig.
Just a bunch of shit game mechanics most of the time and the plot wasn’t interesting enough 90% of the time to make up for that, still a lot left to go through so hope it’s better

Extra thoughts: Never grasped me, felt incredibly bare bones, just go one world to another looking for the girl w/o much reason of the worlds themselves being there, u just go thru, oh Kairi isn’t here, next planet, rinse repeat. The main characters weren’t interesting, didn’t help 2 of em were Donald and goofy. Villians felt extremely underutilized, they were antags w the body of Disney Villians instead of embodying the Disney villian and integrating that into the story, they could’ve made an original design and it would serve the same purpose

Definitely the best of the trilogy, was a lot better in story, pacing and gameplay. Disc 2 was clearly a level higher than the rest of the trilogy, but its also a nitpick ig, felt it was too top heavy in comparison to others, kind of hard to go into it w/o making it sound like something bad but if you get what I'm saying then u do

Thought it was alright, tho had issues.
While it does continue from the first game fine from a storytelling aspect, main issue for me was the pacing, or that it felt kinda long between story bits (despite the length) which kinda disconnected me from the overall story in this installment. Problem mainly coming down to the gameplay, battles lasted too long and a few other things, tho Boss battles were handled well in this diff gameplay
Last cutscene sequence(s) was brilliant tho and heard good things abt 3

Don’t have a lot to say so far, evidently the first game in a trilogy, pretty nice setup

Game definitely beat expectations, had way more fun w the gameplay than I thought I was going to and story was great as expected. Only gripe is disc 2, while great in story, obviously with the budget issues, kinda flows weird, like a VN but still a game and having cutscenes back to back to back to back can be tiring at times so lost focus a few times during, on top of there maybe being a few pacing issues, but otherwise disc 2 was still good

Nice follow up and end to duology. Liked the difference w the cast being mostly adults, gave a different view and vibe of the game compared to IS and other persona entries

Feels like a huge step up from P1 in every way, gameplay was nice, turn based was much better and wasn't a hassle to get thru, navigating was fine, all on top of the story which was leaps and bounds better and found it really good

Though I still don't particularly think the game has aged the best, over time its grown on me a little bit, more so the story. The gameplay is still a bit jarring at times but isn't the worse. But the characters and the plot (though I wish there was more like we got with the manga) do push up this score for me. Naoya and Maki are the duo that I do feel a connection to in particular

Solid game, gameplay was a bit too easy in a sense you could just constantly stun bosses but still was fun. Story kinda a mix of the 2 royal plotlines, wish it was something new, but enjoyed the cast and the new character additions also

Really disappointing so far, cant get myself to care much about it. Turn Based is about as basic as it gets without any gimmicks at all to make it better, storytelling is as mediocre as it is in Genshin which makes everything from main story to side quests such a slog to get thru and not make me interested at all. The genshin systems getting inputted into the game do not make me more wanting to play either, just feels like its Genshin turn based with the Honkai name painted over

ljdbgskhBIJDB TAKAHASHI IS AMAZING
Connects the 3 games greatly and references another thing that makes me very hyped to get on soon. I love this series man

A lot of issues with the game imo, the first 6 months are either completely barren or every plot event just feels completely rushed and/or pointless. Everyday feels repetitive and boring, important/interesting social links are locked behind social skills which add to the slow start. Tartarus is insanely boring and a job to get thru, not fun. The last 3 months is a step up but not saying much, characters still felt rushed or didnt get the time they needed to become good. The main cast just doesnt feel developed and together bar a couple like Aigis and maybe one other
