What a perfect game. The world building is insane. The abilities you gain keep the game interesting as you play though. I love exploring the world a lot in the game, and that puts real meaning and motive to boss fights which are fun in their own respect. The lore is pretty wild too if you dive into it (but also not necessary to enjoy the game). The art style is awesome, and everything is so fucking cute, how could you not like the game? I like is so much i might just hate myself enough to do a steal sole run.
Its quite a different game, the fun isn't derived from the mechanics but rather figuring out what out need to do and how it can be done. I had a great deal of fun doing it, going back and doing the speed run achievements was where this game shined for me. You have to optimize task order and how you do them, it really frustrating and straight up fun. Although the npc rng might make you wanna lose your shit here and there.
A legendary game because of its art style, the boss creativity and hardness, and the not stop bosses. What other games do you not have to walk through boring uninspired levels to get to a cool boss, Cuphead is just about bosses. The game is pretty hard yet it never feels unbalanced or unfair. Definitely a treasure!
