Despite everything, it's still ubisoft. And as a thumb of rule; fuck Ubisoft.

It's a good game without a doubt. I feel like we've been spoiled with bunch of Metroidvanias in recent years. I've had the opportunity to play quite a bunch of them. I don't think it really lives up to S/A tier metroidvanias like Bloodstained, Hollow Knight, Ori etc., and I'd personally replay cute indies like Momodora or Haiku the Robot over this.

I cursed a lot during my initial hours within the game, had a love and hate relationship. Endgame stuff was good although you get overpowered up to a point where combat would not matter anymore but it's still some sort of power fantasy. Combat, to me, never reached to its full potential but it ended up fun goofing around. Platforming, especially when precision required, was nuts at times but I loved it.

Pretty much all the metroidvanias due to their inherent nature limit you when you going through initial phases but I'd believe there is a small pacing issue with Lost Crown. First few hours felt like a real chore unlike other metroidvanias whereas the last few hours really flew by.

Story is uninspring, mc is a real dudebro and all the other cast is forgottable so tldr it checks all the boxes story-wise for being a Ubi game. The unfortunate part is the whole track is forgettable too. Knowing the former Ubi games this is a noticeable lack of. The game doesn't want to pump you up for its bosses at all.

And the bosses were... bleh. I don't really know if they know how to make a proper boss fight. There were a few solid but the rest were laughable. Menolias is bound to be cheesed. All you have to do is to sit on the fucking edge of the stage, dodge his attacks and then attack ranged for a while if you can afford while he inevitably would jump onto your lap. Rinse and repeat. This is not a strat for a tough boss either, it came as natural before I knew it was a thing. I just happened to did it and then lol'd at how terrible its design was. Many people had a problem beating him (compared to all other bosses) solely because his gimmick where you only need to break the boss and that's quite easy to do so. I already had a massive health bar going into the final boss so I won't even speak about that. I smacked the shit out of the bitch. This is a balancing issue my dear.

The game is polished decently but there had been times where game literally got broke and I lost my progress over 20 mins. I do not really like the fact that you need to utilize Wak-Wak trees to save your game. Autosaves should have been more common when you pick up items and make a recognizable progress. And as a QOL I'd prefer tree fast travels although it would make traversal trivial. Speaking of traversal, it's often fast and fluid but I observed a bunch of animation bugs there too.

The game length is fine (to 100% or obtain plat, rushing through the story is already quite short) but it still feels bloated for some reason. Looking back at the map though, I am proud to uncover it fully. Stages and different areas connected wisely and you are able to utilize clever solutions for your traversal issues. Puzzles are serviceable, some of them felt a bit cryptic, ngl. Although not a plat killer, there were certain quest bugs that I needed to find a workaround, even after patch 1.04. Before 1.03, many people locked out of their trophies and had to go new game. For once, I don't want to be annoyed when playing a fucking Ubisoft game. Pretty please. I'd give it a 4 if it was not for all these issues. It's hard to turn a blind eye on these stuff.

In short: Lower budget really shows itself here. I think the team did a solid job with what they had in their hands but I couldn't necessarily say Ubisoft gave a single fuck about this game other than using it to test the waters in an attempt to revitalize the franchise. It can be something great in a potential sequel though. But due to lack of marketing it barely sells. Well, well, well... The dilemma.

Breads will be burned.

(Felt great finishing this completely alone on Valentine's Day)

Suicide Squad is an all-rounder inconsistent heck that is a very typical looter shooter as a GAAS model. In no way it is genre defying, it is more conforming. It's inexcsubily horrible in many aspects. Fun banters between the squad that is faithful to the spirit of them along with a strong cinematic presentation however, the overall story lacks any impact or meaning. It barely has an ending (you know it somehow gotta continue in the upcoming seasons yada yada). It will forever haunt the game. Unimaginative mission designs that you must bear through in order to finish the campaign, adding insult to the injury. It plays like the Squad itself. It's fun for a while but will get old quickly. You'll just want to be done with it and not look back.

It'd be a lie if I said I didn't thoroughly enjoyed my journey at the same time it'd be a bigger lie if I didn't say I hated it more. It'd be the biggest lie if I didn't tell the newest and biggest sensation of 2024's is barely functional being where my very frustruations lie at. It has a long road ahead and I hope Nintendo does not axe it off somehow. Good luck to devs, sincerely, it can be truly something if developed. As it is at the time being, it's just another collector game and survival aspect is weak in every way imaginable. You don't really have control over your pals at your camp. They do whatthefuckever they want which might slow or even kill your progress in the meantime you still adventuring and thinking your camp is automated and they take care of each other themselves. No, you are a baby sitter who needs to sit at the camp each day so you can monitor how chaotic it is. A true Amazon warehouse experience indeed.

ps: I respect that they seemingly respect the player's time and try to make game more accessible but even with the world options the whole inventory management is so chaotic. It takes unnecessarily long to craft endgame items and you'll be making bunch of spheres to capture endgame pals. It just turns into a huge plain waste of time. I had to cheat and ngl I had much more fun then I realized how unbalanced were some things. Cheat for your own sanity. I'd only go back to the game if we could actually assign our pals to the desired jobs and turn off the facilities we no longer need without actually destroying them. Thinking of this should have not been hard for devs. Cmon...

Anomaly Agent unironically could be the best modern side scroller action-platformer next to Katana Zero. It is also the very first game that establishes its throne in my heart by breaking my long time resentment towards Turkish videogames completely.

Devs are telling the truth: Pure flow, no extra fluff.
Sick moves and that's all there is to it. My only complaint would be (as it is already stated by others) the lack of content. It could have used some updates such as unlockable maps, characters and such.

My guy not only has a soldier's arsenal but also a pro-wrestler move set and MMA caliber kicks. Kick the bitch, slide, feed grenade, yeet him. Blow up more bitches. Violence. Guns akimbo. Back to the days where FPS shooters meant to be simplistic and fun.

I finished it after 10 years cuz yknow in chance it becomes unavailable. To be fair, as much as it is an anti-consumerist decision I support Ubisoft in their decision. This game should be inaccessible. It should be wiped out from existence. I have undescirabable hate for this game. It's a failed MMORacing. It was destined and bounded to be. It is more Ice Skating than racing though. And it rains a fucking LOT.

Awful story, awful mission design, unnecessarily enormous map that features pretty much nothing. A true classic of Ubisoft's 2013-2015 era where they kept failing their games one after another. Yet the franchise somehow keeps going so I'll see what's up with the other two. As for this piece of work, I simply hate it and do not feel sorry if you won't ever get a chance to bother yourself with.

I have no clue why this game didn't get a pat at TGA at all. Put aside being nominated, it even deserves a solid GOTY in indies. It'll be your new favourite boomer shooter. Lots of player agency, excels at every metrics of a classic FPS shooter. Creative af and incredibly fast. While I agree that there were some pacing issues (some of the levels could have been certainly shorter) I rarely got bored at all during my +10hrs playthrough. It always found a way to innovate itself. Solid gunplay, solid level design, tons of fun and superb references. Sad to see it's still underrated.

And yeah, it's the ultimate chainsaw game. The review would have not been completed without mentioning it.

For a free downloandable content it seriously rocks. However, as a roguelite it is at its infancy at best. Gets an extra 0.5 for being simply free. Since the game already has a solid ground of course it's as fun as it could get. Tyr bosses (all 4 phases) are worth to give a go for as well as the story pieces from the past games and how they tied to the ending now. Good to see sob Helios once again. Good to see ancient greece enemies once again. That's it, I guess. It's a rather short but sweet game mode.

Severely underrated. One of the best strategic fps (combined with rts) out there. Helpful community (whatever left of it). Alien types and unique abilities attributed to each makes game changing differences that could rotate the game as well as strategic building on both sides under their commanders. Teamwork actually matter here. I wish Unknown Worlds revisit this franchise someday preferably soon.

This had great potential out of all emerging BR games but dork devs screwed it up then developed Culling 2 out of nowhere, delisting it and trying to return back to this one to end up screwing up both games, eventually delisting them once again.

I almost forgot this have existed. One of the purest examples that even strong foundations don't make a good game without enough content & creative vision. I never bought the idea. It of course had fun mechanics but the marketing strategy was off. Should have been free DLC to the DL1 or should have been priced a bit more generously at the release. It only got 10% off (18$) and after 1.5 years or so it went free. Is it ever too late for some things? Apparently it was for DL:Bad Blood. It never recovered and well, delisted soon after. RIP.

I am glad Spider-Man 2 has different listings for each platform. I used to play this accompanied with a friend. At that time, it was certainly enjoyable. Looking back, not so much. Even for the sake of nostalgia I can barely justify it. It felt satisfying to solve what was up with that stupid Mysterio boss (we had been stucked in for days) though, glad to see so many people hating on it.

It appears funny to me that Yuke's (known for developing professional wrestling games) once developed this masterpiece. It was an ok sim on PC which I spent my most time on. Probably had revamped my love for cats. PS2 version was far better but I was able to try it for only a short period. My rating is for what I remember from its PS2 version. PC would have been a 3 instead. Either way, I must pick up a boxed PS2 copy it seems, it must be preserved at all costs.
