Type of game that in the past I would never have touched. I like that I try a variety of different things now. Really enjoyed the hidden story within the hidden story and how all the little puzzles fit together. It was a really engaging and unique experience.

Absolute drivel lol. Ofc was delayed, not promoted and shadow dropped. I dont like these sorts of games to begin with but it plays like ass, you cant party up with friends and it constantly soft locks your character. Servers will shut down soon im sure hah

Shadows of Rose. The new enemies are really cool. New boss fights are good. Puzzle gameplay shines. There’s one truly scary set piece that had me very tense while playing through it. Definitive good ending to the Winters saga.

Jak II, Fun plot and cool open world design with sandbox elements. Gameplay mechanics were ahead at the time but does show its age, however this is mitigated with a bit of practice. One of the better Naughty Dog games. Found this super fun.

Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles done, I like all the extra little scenarios. Wesker during 0 and 1, Rebecca during 1, Ada after 2 and the whole Umbrellas End exclusive scenario. Really fun game, even if the Ivan Tyrants are a crazy hard boss.

Resident Evil 3R, like EVERYTHING is redesigned... Less of a remake than 2 but a fun reboot. The mechanics are super cool, dodging is fun and id like to keep playing this and getting better.

Finally played Shredders Revenge and its very likely in my top 5 games of this year. Exceeded all my expectations, amazing animation, care, design, gameplay. Loved this so much. Want to try out more characters. I pray they develop DLC. Do Simpsons next!!!

Dark Pictures: Man of Medan with my friend. NEITHER OF OUR CHARACTERS DIED. Really enjoyed this. Going to play the other games and try not go get too stressed with saving everyone. Dunno if it will happen again lol. These games are great to play with friends as you sit around the TV. Really great experience.

2022

Stray, I really enjoyed my time with it. It was pretty simple and a lot of it a cleverly disgused straight line. But I liked looking for the areas to jump to from the cats perspective. The game is rich of character and atmosphere and yes, I cried at a few points

The platforming console and handheld games really live in the shadows of the beatemups. But despite all the flaws here, it still holds fun and looks nice. Would rather just play a konami CastleVania though, no exciting game design here.

Overall fucking amazing. Possibly the best game in series, but it feels like its from over 10 years ago. (for two reasons: how it looks and some performance issues. and how it feels like its from the era of great sequels to games on a psp you wish were on console) okay i understand they arent going to spend a lot of money on bayonetta games because no one buys them. but oh my god this is low budget. it feels so much cheaper than the first 2 :( The gameplay is 10/10 but it feels like im playing a lower budget PSP sequel to a Bayo game. Bayos levels and combat are all so good. Absolutely great, Viola too but I am still adapting to it and learning how to use her so I get that same flow (love her character btw, real standout.) But yes a lot of things feel cheap. Doesnt kill fun, but it’s noticeable. I really like the new mechanics and there is so much to play with here. But I do think some levels are going to be a slug to play again due to the long kaiju sequences that grind the game to a hault. It may sound like im being negative here but I love the game!

Played another Supermassive game with my friend. All their girls survived but I lost one boy to death :( we misinterpreted a totem vision and didnt give the right person the right item. Game was very fun and tense though. I like these a lot

First time doing a full silent hill playthrough. the atmosphere and everything they do with the camera, light, fog, draw distance.. is awesome.

Booted up the Wii U again to play Splatoon. This comes from the years I just didnt play games and was mainly in the back of vans lol. I wanna catch up on the campaigns before Splatoon 3. I enjoyed it a lot! This game is fast paced and has a lot of character!!

God of War (Norse). Absolutely adored this game. The relationship with Atreus was really profound. This is one of the most immersive games I have played in a long time. So weird that God of War made me cry multiple times. I am ready for Ragnarok.
