Hits every beat for my kind of arcade air combat game. The barrel roll kill is completely unrealistic, but I don't care. The game was fun.

This isn't really the kind of game you finish, but I saw credits after a good run. Fun deckbuilder with a good variety of enemies once you get a few levels deep.

A fun, casual puzzle game. The puzzles are super easy, but it's a relaxing time waste.

Another excellent installment in the series. Gets rid of most of the annoying timing-related tasks from part one, has cooler story sections, and more interesting puzzles.

There were moments I wanted to throw the game out of a window when it presented challenges with tight timing requirements, but I could usually return later and get right through what had been driving me mad. If not for that, I'd call this perfect. Extremely fun.

Awesome, but so damn hard that it stopped being fun about 70 stars into it. I'm still rating it highly. It earned it

A bit tedious at times and the scene re-starts were often slow to load and included story bits that couldn't be skipped, so that knocked it down at least one star. Cool, moody 2.5D art style. Easy puzzles with some beat-perfect timing needed at times.

I still doubt I like stealth games in general, but these guys really did it right. Lots of fun and the penalty for messing up the puzzle is limited to re-trying pretty much exactly what you failed.

Still great 25 years after its release.

More Picross with a light RPG element. It's not deep enough of an RPG element to matter, so it's more fairly mindless picross time-killing.

There really wasn't much "Adventure" in this. It's a fine Picross-type game, but they kind of missed the point of trying to make an adventure out of it. I like that they let you freely mess up the puzzle without penalty. There were times that I enjoyed trying to fix the mistakes once I got to where it was obvious I'd messed something up.

Great levels with a good amount of variety. Good implementation on the Switch in handheld mode. The touch-screen was occasionally annoying but it ended up being a fairly rare case where it was needed without simply randomly swiping to pick up some star bits.

2016

Puzzle game that can be a bit tricky with the dexterity aspects at times. It was fun. I didn't care for the story interludes where you have to navigate a long, boring level while dialog is read aloud.

Fairly easy puzzles, but it's still pretty satisfying and a fun time killer. Expertly presented. I like this series quite a bit.

Progression system is overly complex. It's not dethroning the kings of this genre (mindless auto-shooter hoard game), but it was fun and I got about 3 weeks of play/grind out of it for about $3. Not bad.
