I’ll be honest, I hate most fighting games and only really got this game for Bridget, but it’s actually really fun! The charming characters really stand out and gameplay is pretty great. I’d like it if there was a proper story mode and just more single-player content in general, but I still definitely recommend checking this out!

I play a lot of shorter games because I lack the commitment for a sprawling 200-hour experience, but the problem with playing lots of shorter games is that a lot of them feel shallow. Hello Charlotte does not have that problem, and instead fleshes out a beautiful world in the under 2 hours I spent playing it. Aside from the worldbuilding, the writing and art are incredible and the protagonists are genuinely memorable and interesting (again not something I usually expect from a short game). Overall this is definitely something you need to check out if you’re looking for a short, free game and I’m very excited to play the sequel.

On paper, splatoon sounds horrible. The control scheme is janky and the concept is strange. But this game works with these concepts and fleshes them out into an innovative game and a sprawling world that work perfectly on the janky system that was the Wii U. If Splatoon had released anywhere else I don’t think it would be as memorable, and while coming back to the first game from splat 2 or 3 is jarring this is still amazing to come back to today. Sadly I could never finish the story mode so I have no comments there, but either way this is an amazing stepping stone for the series that’s definitely worth checking out today.
