This game feels janky and generic at best

I bought it thinking it would be as epic as the movie but turns out it's just not that fun. First of all the game engine they chose for this was not the best, Unreal Engine has proven time and time again to be a pretty terrible graphics engine for PC games, I have a decent PC and GPU and the game still runs terribly bad even on Medium graphics.

I'm not someone that judges a game by it's graphics but I sure do judge games by their performance and this game's performance is just terrible. Sure you might say "But it's an Early access game!" mate I'm not going to wait 1 or 2 years for a performance fix that might never arrive since game developers expect you to have the best of the best hardware instead of optimizing, optimizing their game isn't profitable so I don't think it's a priority and people who say "it works on my machine" do nothing but support this bad business practice.

The game's controls also feel very limited and it really feels like they made this game with mouse in mind, I would not recommend using a controller in this game because the aiming feels off and it's too tanky, there is no appropriate way to change sensitivity in settings. There is also no way to switch controller buttons however you like, the function straight up doesn't work, it's not coded...

The enemy AI is just... DUMB really really DUMB, they have no way to attack you if you're in an elevated position, I thought they'd climb on each other to reach me but turns out they just don't know what to do once you're in a slightly elevated position, the only thing that can reach you are the ranged bugs but they're not that common.
Also, why did they decide to put the special abilities on the upper D-Pad? it's just wrong and pretty hard to reach.

In short, this game is just too dull, it gets boring really fast because every mission is basically the same, there is NO user interaction besides the voice chat, there is NO text chat (I tried to find it but there's none and if there's any then nobody seems to be using it) and uses a soulless graphic engine with bad performance, they don't give you many weapons, what you see is what you get most of the time, I was expecting to kill a lot of bugs with a 50cal from all sides but sounds like that's just too much to ask although it might change in the future but this is my first impression of the game, most game movies don't have a good history because they usually suck.

Oh and it needs to be more visceral, killing bugs here feels like a chore, there is no satisfaction... they don't even get dismembered or torn apart from all the bullets they just drop, that's it.

tl;dr if you want to kill bugs in a satisfying way and have fun I'd rather recommend you to play Deep Rock Galactic, it's a better bug killing game.

This is one of the best RTS games I've ever played alongside Empire Earth and Age of Empires II, it is such a shame that it's not as popular as it's older siblings but it's definitely worth playing I still regularly play it to this day, the campaign, game mechanics and the music in this game are a masterpiece.

2000

I spent countless hours on this game, it was one of the most popular browser games back in the 2000s, you could chat with a lot of people from around the world in hundreds of thousands of rooms, some rooms had fun minigames, some were cool, unfortunately the game stopped being popular and I dropped it in 2009, I tried logging back in recently but they had deleted my account due to inactivity, the game is in a sad state now so I would not recommend playing it.

I remember when people dismissed this game as a "2D Minecraft" but that couldn't be more wrong, the only thing it has in common with Minecraft is the building and destruction of blocks, everything else is pretty different, if you like games where you have to dodge stuff (bullet hells from late game bosses) combined with survival elements like having to build a house to survive and gather materials then you will like this one a lot.

Walking for 30 minutes and then die in 1 second simulator.

Pretty weird game, a little obscure perhaps.

This game was inspired by a movie by the same name released on 1998, it is a third-person shooter with some platformer elements thrown into the mix,

The game borrows some elements from Arena shooters somewhat ported into a console game with tanky controls, you can pick up items from the map and uncover secrets or find secret enemy encounters, you have many different type of weapons that you will be discovering through the singleplayer mode's campaign, shooting at enemies feels fun but the downside is that the mobility is terrible and it didn't age quite well.

It is a decent game don't get me wrong, the campaign was okay and PvP was okay too, you might enjoy it on splitscreen.

I played this a lot at school when I was younger, pretty fun and entertaining, soundtrack was nice, specially the battle music.

This game had a lot of work put into it, the soldier war cries, bomb sounds, atmosphere and animations were all pretty awesome, it really felt like a well made game.

It was really good but something about it didn't go with me, maybe it was that announcer.

My first battlefield game ever, the OG, the one that started it all, you had to be there... Battlefield 1942 was one of the games that redefined multiplayer shooters back then, controlling different vehicles and entire battleships was mind-blowing for it's time, unfortunately it might not have aged that well so newcomers might not like the game or become confused but it is a solid game from the 2000s that allows you to play as several factions from WW2 in big maps that feel alive, I spent so much time on this game.

This was a very obscure game that I used to play despite finding it scary, I loved the combat and soundtrack, the fact that the soundtrack progressed during gameplay was mind-blowing, you need to play this if you love obscure, dark platformers.

The original and the best one in my opinion, it might be dated but it's still a fun game to play, gameplay movement is very fluent, enemies are fun to kill, the soundtrack is kickass and the artstyle is too.

I played this game when I was a 5 year old and I barely remember it but I think it was fun!

I remember playing this Java game on my old Sony Ericsson W200 back in the late 2000s-early 2010s, the fact that my phone could run games this fun was mind-blowing to me, I spent hours in this game killing demons and uncovering secrets.
