Realized that I needed more games about little creatures in my life so I picked this up and WOW it's such a fun experience
Puddle slime superiority

had lots of fun with this one!! there's so much detail put into every webpage and I really liked seeing them update and change over time. the world of Hypnospace Outlaw feels real and i enjoyed every minute of exploring it

HOLY CRAP Will of the Wisps was amazing, they took everything great about the first game and managed to make it even better! There's a lot more things to do here and I enjoyed the additional sidequests, collectibles, etc. plus there's a handful of new characters that are very fun to talk to. I honestly liked the combat in this game a lot more than I liked the combat in Blind Forest, since there's more of a focus on melee combat and a weapon system (and there's now some actual boss fights in addition to the escape sequences similar to the ones in the first game). Overall Will of the Wisps is really REALLY good

Extremely fun speedrunning puzzle platformer shooter game, lots of the levels have very clever design though I felt like a select few of them were a liiiittle frustrating (especially when it came to replaying them to collect the gifts since some of them are bizarrely hidden or require you to do a lot of prepping / saving cards for later, side note I didn't realize you could press Q to switch between the cards in your inventory until around 15 hours in HAHA), it's still very satisfying once you figure out how to do it right though!
I personally had fun with the dialogue and story, but it's definitely not gonna be something everyone's gonna enjoy due to the writing style and pop cultural references (I had to do a double take when I saw a character say "pog")
But anyways I enjoyed it a whole lot, at some point I'll go for getting the Ace Medals on every level but not quite yet

Beautiful game with very well done atmosphere, the movement is a little clunky sometimes and takes some getting used to but besides that a very enjoyable experience

I enjoyed this game a lot! I think I had just about as much fun as I had with the original Subnautica, though there were also parts of it that I felt weren't as strong.
Below Zero is a lot more story focused. I personally liked the the story and the characters, but I do feel that a lot of the open-ended survival aspects that made the original so interesting had to be pushed aside in favor of them. The stakes don't feel as high since you're no longer playing as the lone survivor of a crashed spaceship trying to get off an alien planet.
There's plenty of nice QoL changes (pinning blueprints to the HUD, no longer being able to accidentally eat an item you're trying to put into storage). There's also some cool new base-building items to play with.
The environments are beautiful, though the map has been significantly sized down. Since you have to keep hopping around the map to progress the story, the feeling of "vast scary open ocean" unfortunately fades away somewhat quickly.
The creature designs are great! They have lots of charm. My favorites are the glow whales and snow stalkers. The leviathans are also really scary.
Despite the couple flaws, I really liked Below Zero overall!

2010

Enjoyed the aesthetic and art style a lot, puzzles were pretty neat overall but admittedly got a little tedious toward the end. Overall pretty good short experience, looking forward to playing Inside

Strive was my introduction to the Guilty Gear series, I think it's pretty easy to pick up and a fairly solid game overall, but now that I've also played Xrd and +R it honestly feels pretty slow and heavy and doesn't have quite as much personality as some of the older games. Still decently fun + I'll bump up my rating to 4.5 stars if they bring back Zappa and/or A.B.A.

I'm honestly not a shooter person at all and I was only interested cause I saw some cool fanart but I gotta say this game is INCREDIBLY FUN and I can't wait for Act 3 to be released, also the secret levels are great

i played this all the time as a kid for whatever reason and let me tell you it's sooo bad. i wasn't in a rush and i still finished the whole thing in about 2 hours. the only redeeming quality is the flying glitch (take the nothosaurus to the island next to the shallows portal and walk into the palm tree. you're welcome). truly the epitome of wii era shovelware

when i was a young lad i was so badly fixated on this game and i made a little paper cutout of petasi and i would take him everywhere with me. one day i lost him and i cried so hard and my mom told me to just make another one. i made another one out of graph paper but the original one magically turned up again a few days later. anyways i don't know where either of them went it's been over 10 years they've both most likely been lost to the void. the game itself is surprisingly good for what it is by the way.

i honestly feel that the sequel outdid this game in (almost) every way but man i still love it so much

never finished this game as a kid cause the toxic waste subplot terrified me and we ended up returning it to blockbuster (man... remember blockbuster) but now here i am and i have finally played it again and finished it. it's just an ok game, had a decent amount of fun getting to pet animals that you never get to pet in real life, but also got frustrated trying to prevent the animals from eating each other or eating the plants i was trying to grow for the goals. also MAN the bears love to destroy everything you hold dear

neat concept with a cute art style but MAN it can be a slog to get through sometimes. i think a reboot or spiritual successor of some kind that makes the gameplay feel less linear and repetitive and also gives the characters more personality and interactions would be really cool though

an absolute classic, i just wish i wasn't fighting with the camera controls half the time
