Superliminal is a really solid game, initially i thought it would be a stanley parable clone with a twist but it does its own thing.
The main gameplay gimmick was really well done mustve needed a lot of work to get it working. While the gimmick stays mostly the same its the level design that evolves to make the game interesting.
However I wish it got more ambitious with the level design and the weirdness of being in a dream. A funny thing that happened in my playthrough is when there was a setpiece hidden in plainsight my steam deck chugged a bit giving it away, but kudos to the devs for making a linux version.
The puzzles did get hard but I didnt need a guide for them. However some of the collectibles 100% need a guide cause no average person would ever find them all.
The game is really good looking with some especially nice parts in the levels. The music was another highlight perfectly accomponying the laid back gameplay even picking when the stakes appear to pick up.
The story was a decent affair with a fun twist, the final words before the end actually hit me pretty hard and made me glad I played this.
I finished the main story with all the collectibles, might do another playthrough in the future to try out the other modes or the dev commentary.
All in all, a really solid experience.

It's kinda dookie you can't 100% this without macros. Other than that it's a fun little game with a good message

best first person platformer since Mirror's Edge

Manifold Garden is a fantastic game. The visuals are obviously striking from the pastel colour palette to the infinitely repeating fractal archictecture. This game is really a treat for the eyes.
The puzzles are pretty challenging with the difficult gradually ramping up as you play. With the changing the gravity navigating the different levels is a puzzle in itself. It's also really rewarding to utilise the gravity mechanic to make shortcuts for yourself since falling is faster than running.
However I feel like the final puzzles couldve been a bit harder.
The music really adds a lot of atmosphere and really complements the overall aesthetic.
Honestly I spent my last few moments in the game wanderings its levels and getting lost in its beautiful abyss.

TLDR PLAY THIS GAME
---
First of all I adore this game. The combat is super tight and the abilities are super engaging, it's so much better than what was given in FF15. I wouldn't say its better than the system in FF7R but its no lesser imo. The weakest part of the combat imo is Torgal since unless you use a ring you have to control him yourself which really didnt click with me so I ended letting Torgal do his own thing. Also Torgal should've got gear and cosmetics.

The Eikon battles really surprised me to how exciting and engaging they are. One of them really blew it out of the park with the sense of scale and awe that you cant get in normal battles. Theyre honestly a really surprising strong point for the game.
The narrative is such a strong point for this game with emotional moments that made me cry, I especially grew attached to a lot of the side characters. Even some who I thought I would hate in the beggining.cough cough Gav.
Like in the previous FF titles the music hits it out of the park meshing with the setting almost perfectly. I wouldnt put them on my spotify or anything but the game would be so much lesser without it.
The graphics themselves are obviously beautiful, the set design for the mothercrystals in the openworld being a real standout and really does give off an otherworldly feeling.

Sidequests are a point of contention for a lot of people, while they all are mostly fetch quests they do give a nice breather between the heavy story beats. The fact that they're fully voice acted also give each of the NPC so much personality. The writing for the sidequests are strong as well with recurring plots and seeing growth in the npcs. The fact you can see Clives growth as a person as he interacts with npcs and develops bonds with them is amazing. Honestly the way they all wrap up towards the end made me tear up near the end of the game. Also Jill and Clive are perfect.

Some dislikes are the lack of outfits, theres only one outfit change for clive and honestly thats really disappointing. The cosmetic you can change are the swords. Also the lack of interesting loot in the openworld, chests and bosses. loot in general is a big weak point in this game as most of the good stuff is crafted and they dont affect combat all too much. I wish there was set bonuses or modifiers to gear other than number go up. Also the accessories were really lame, the vast majority of them being percentage modifiers for your eikonic abilities with only a few changing you playstyle like the auto charge necklace or the beserker accessory.

Another weaker point for me is the design for the explorable settlements. For me it peaked at Lostwing with each of them getting less interesting as you go along falling into further bog standard medieval architecture. There wasnt really a reason to explore a lot of these place since they were so boring looking. I really wish they went a but harder on the architecture like they did for the mothercrystal areas. There needs to be nooks and crannies and just need to be generally nicer to explore and look at. Also the game was really dim in some places in needed a bit more light and colour.

In the end I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with this game, I finished the main story in 60 hours. Thats with completing all of the sidequests, hunts and eikonic challenges. I got 75% of the trophies and had the endgame set of weapons and armour. I will also be doing a NG+ to get my platinum after a short break.

It really confused me that the scuba dude had eyes

Fuck that on rails achievement, shit gave me carpal tunnel

What a game, combat is fun, amazing pixel art and interesting world. Only gripe is finding all colectibles is a bit tedious such as the dash outfit and all the gearbits. Im still missing one gearbit which bums me out.
Still fantastic game.

I ran out of battery while playing this

really cute game with endearing characters and a length that doesnt outstay its welcome. Really enjoyed my time with this, i finished my first playthrough in about 6ish hours and thats with collecting all 3 collectibles and completing the little diary which was a lot of fun since its really enjoyable to move around in this game and mess around with the sometimes wonky physics. Did a second playthrough for a specific achievement and did that in about 3 hours but you could do it in around 2 by doing the bare minimum. Please give this game a go cause its an absolute treat to play.

Fantastic looking game with nice ambience and music as you try and solve the puzzles it gives you. The mechanics introduced are fun and when they start to get combined it starts to scratch that itch in my brain. Unfortunately it comes to an end rather quicky when it felt like it was all coming together. The final puzzle was a great one. I wish there was a challenge mode with even more layers to what was introduced cause Im sure this game is capable of much more. Still enjoyed whatver was on offer.

great gameplay, funny dialogue, great aesthetic and polish. Wish there was a bit more meat on the bones but im satisfied with what I got.

A tightly written narrative that does the borderlands humour just right. The gameplay itself is the classic Telltale affair with some added flourishes. Also the opening songs for each episoder absolutely slap.

fun game with a great spellcrafting mechanic, shame that the enemies were too lackluster to show the spells off.
