I loved it. The themes, the characters... more particularly Cloud's writing. MY GOSHHHH THAT WAS SO GOODDDDDD!!!

The rating speaks for itself. I can't wait for part three.

possible implied spoilers

It felt like there were too many plot points in one story. Almost as if the writers had too many ideas and just jumbled them all together with no clear path to what they wanted to accomplish...
Also, poor Miles was subjected to (what felt like) sidequests every time we switched to him ://
The gameplay was great. Some setpieces/fights were dragged out though.
Overall,
6/10. Nothing spectacular (haha), but not a bad play.

-Minus one star because of Teddie and Yosuke's behavior and attitude.
------------
In all seriousness, I really liked the mystery story at play. It was fun trying to guess who the killer was (I guessed correctly LOL but I also got spoiled on twitter before I got it revealed in-game).
The characters were alright. I liked all of the friends but I really disliked some of their attitudes. Yosuke's a prime example of this. He's a really great character but is ruined by the remarks he makes towards the girls. Not to mention Teddie 🙄. Bro's annoying as hell... really glad he got bullied by the others <3. Yu (main character) was also okay. I did not feel connected to him in any way, shape, or form. He just felt like he was there to spectate and show us the story. The rest of the characters (even the side charac.) were fine, just wish we had gotten Naoto earlier in the game.
Gameplay was outdated :p but that's to be expected so I'm not going to be picky about that. (THE SHADOWS WERE ANNOYING)
The overall story was good! I liked the way it played out. I'm a fan of mystery so it was nice to finally play a game that involved playing the 'detective'.
Anyway, just my two cents. Take it with a grain of salt. (Go touch grass if you get mad at this PLEASE). I hope it gets a remake one day! That'd be awesome.

100+ hours, a month and a half of (mainly) only playing Persona 5 Royal and I have finally completed this game.
The fact that it took me this long to pick up the game is criminal.
It easily became one of my favorite games of all time.
I loved how the entire story touched on societal problems. It wasn't just your typical teenager problems, but a wide variety of problems stemming from the most basic, petty ones, to large scaled ones. I don't think I've ever consumed a piece of media that heavily focused on this and actually did it decently.
The characters themselves were not the most unique (familiar tropes), but they were executed in a manner where those tropes didn't even matter. You wanted to get to know each of them. I loved how you could see each of their stories if you opted to; So not only did you have the main story with some of Joker's daily life doings, you also had the opportunity to know and understand each character.
The main character (Joker; place given name here) was also very fun to play with. You could, to a point, customize his personality and either make him one mean dude or a really nice guy. It was very immersive, especially since you controlled his every doing.
The gameplay was something that really surprised me! While roaming the streets of Shibuya or Shujin academy (etc) was not anything super unique, being able to walk into different buildings and actually interact with the npcs/items was awesome! The turn based fighting was also really relaxing and frustratingly fun (although some may argue that it got repetitive, which is understandable).
The difficulty level (I played on normal up until the very last boss battle then switched to easy) was fair, especially since you can level up your characters. I just didn't go to mementos enough/fight enough enemies to gain more XP for the last boss :p.
The graphics were great, nothing over the top; it did its job and I had no problem with it at all!
The MUSIC is something out of this world. I think this soundtrack might be in my top video game soundtracks. I swear I wanted to burst out dancing every time any of the tracks started to play-- Its THAT good.
ONE thing I really wanted to mention is how seemingly normal this game feels. While the idea of the metaverse is supernatural, being a typical high school student living a normal life (through Jokers eyes) is pretty familiar. Usually when you play games that involve any type of heros, you only get to see their 'hero' side. Their 'civilian' life is always forgotten, as if it doesn't exist. This game makes it known that these kids are struggling not only with societal problems, but also typical teenager struggles. It's refreshing to see them balancing their hero life and their civilian life.
There's so much more I could say about this game but I will keep it short for now.
I really really really loved this game and cannot recommend it enough. I understand 100+ hours is a huge commitment, but believe me when I say that it is completely worth it. You will not feel those hours pass by. Take your time or binge it, whatever works for you. Don't feel pressured to play on a certain difficultly either, just playing it on what feels best for you.

This game certainly stole my heart ;)

An amazing conclusion to the best series out there.

Didn't pay attention to the story. It was a fun game to play with friends

I actually enjoyed this game the first time i played it through. I never understood the hate for it. It's not the best but it wasn't BAD

Story is nothing special and a little cheesy lol. Really really great gameplay though!

I liked that they added a story mode to this game. It was pretty decent for a battlefront game. The multiplayer was ok. Not as fun as the first Battlefront from this series

The free roam was LITERALLY GTA for kids...
