Just cosy and easy. No rules, no popups, no tutorial, no control menu. A few lil QoL tweaks and it’ll be perfect.
I watched a video explaining the lore and feel like I was playing this game with blinders on 😭 I only got the first ending outta five and already wanna play from the beginning just to fully appreciate all the dialogue and atmospheric storytelling
nowhere close to beating it but this game has changed my brain chemistry and I WILL be platinuming it

The first half of the game (pre-Venom suit) was a bit of a drag. I honestly think MJ's levels were more fun that the Peter Parker levels (high school break-in, Coney Island). Everything after Peter gets the Venom suit REALLY picks the game up a notch and made it more fun and engaging.
Besides the two main bugs on the cover (bah-dum-tiss), I got some bugs where I couldn't progress because a Triangle interaction popup didn't appear so I had to reload my checkpoint. I had other bugs where certain characters' dialog didn't load, so Peter was talking to and answering silence. The worst bug I had was where all audio dropped out besides the ones through my controller. I knew it was a game issue because PS UI and home screen sounds were still fine. At that point I had to close out the game entirely and reload.
Overall it's a great experience. I wish the first half was as strong as the second half and that there was more polish on the aspects that sucked me out of the game (like audio issues), but hell, I'll play it again.

cute and fun. the music is AMAZING! A shame it's $20 for a 4 hour ride, I'd recommend waiting for a sale.

I think it’s fine. A lot of people loved this one more than the first but I think that the first is superior - easier to travel around the worlds and engage in the story and I have such a love for the Lake of Nine. The frostbitten Midgard of Ragnorok just bums me out. Maybe it’s because I played this game on stream so I couldn’t enjoy it as just a gamer since I had to constantly be entertaining and commentate on the game. Don’t think I’d play it again but I managed to platinum it.

Just beat Act 1 and Jesus this game is incredible. One of my absolute tops of 2023. Heavy Braid vibes with a splash of Binding of Isaac.
