Banjo Kazooie and Tooie

I booted it up on an emulator like 5 years ago, so yeah I'll try it

I definitely gotta recommend Annalynn here. It's short but sweet, only $5 yet has a ton of content, and is pretty difficult at first but easy to master. It's like my ideal game to recommend to people (aside from Hazelnut Hex).

if you'd like the banjo games, I'd have to assume you'd also like Corn Kidz 64 and Pseudoregalia, two modern retro-inspired 3d platfomers

Keeping with the 3D platformer train, I'll easily recommend Spyro the Dragon, Ape Escape and Pac-Man World 2.

I know im the xenoblade guy and thats what everyone would expect me to say but nah you should play one of the Ys game. Id say Ys VIII is best.

I'm going to recommend two games that I feel never got enough love: Those are "Iconoclasts" and "Metal Gear: Ghost Babel" on GameBoy Color (in the west the game is just called Metal Gear Solid).
