Finally beat the main game! If I had to put this on the same level as a movie, I'd say it's on par with Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. Just a really charming, funny, absurd experience that I thoroughly enjoyed from beginning to end! I will say I wasn't a fan of some of the repetitive tediousness the game had to offer, but I ended up getting used to it, especially with the help of the fast-forward button to speed things along. The amount of sheer creativity this game's Mii creator has to offer makes me so happy, and I love seeing familiar faces getting into funny scenarios, brought to life with just Miis. I kinda wished I got to play this game sooner, considering I could've gotten it for my last birthday, but then again, I got Undertale on my last birthday, and that ended up being my 2nd favorite video game of all time, so maybe it was for the best to hold it off. Overall, a really great game that I would highly recommend. I mean, what other game are you gonna find that has Bowler Hat Guy, Geno, Undyne, Marnie, and Rodney Copperbottom fighting alongside one another to defeat the Dark Lord Frisk Undertale?
Y'all are gonna kill me for this, but I think I like this more than Smash Ultimate.

I played the 3DS version first when it was released and I had a great time with it BUT when I finished the game I didnt feel like investing my time in the game anymore, because I could just play tomodachi life if I wanted my OC to do stuff together, but now with Miitopia switch (thanks god for the best mii maker ever) I can make my OTP do stuff together without looking like abomination with the OG mii maker.
So yeah, this is the superior version.

I've always had a soft spot for Nintendo titles starring the Miis. Games like Wii Sports Resort, Nintendo Land, and Tomodachi Life have provided me with countless hours of gameplay filled with a certain charm I can't quite describe. Miitopia is no exception, as the updated Mii Maker allows for the most creative minds to come up with whatever they desire. Unfortunately, the depth of the Mii Maker isn't completely matched by the actual game. While I was pretty engaged for the first few hours, I began to lose interest hours before reaching the final boss. Still, I managed to push through and even get through the postgame, which has to mean something. Overall, I hope we get more Mii games in general and I hope the fantastic customization of Miitopia is carried over.
Miitopia is extremely repetitive. The same enemies and events are constantly reused and there is virtually no variety in the combat.
The biggest thing it's always had going for it is that you can use the built in Mii editor to create virtually any character you can think of. That, in itself, is a very big plus, but the rest of the game is uninteresting and requires little to no interaction with the game aside from the maintenance you'll do in between levels (even that is pretty straightforward).
I'd say playing through the first four areas is a bit of a fun time, but anything past that is extremely barebones.

This game is full of charm, the character customization is amazing, probably one of the or the best in any game ever. The addition of the outings makes the game more charming too, where there are tons of wacky scenario that never fail to bring a smile or a laugh.
In addition, the community qnd their mission are amazing, letting artist create every single character in existence practically, from the teletubbies sun to some of Junji Ito's characters.
The horse is a fine addition too, but I dislike horses, and this guy was annoying.

The Switch release of Miitopia features the greatest Mii customisation ever, and combined with the relatively hassle-free process of finding Miis you may want, makes for one of the most uniquely charming experinces around. I'd love for this level and depth of customisation to go on to appear in a future Tomodachi Life game, or just be incorporated into the Switch's base Mii maker.
It's just unfortunate it's attached to Baby's First JRPG.

enjoyable creative rpg with some poor pacing but kept me fairly engaged for a lot more time than I expected. Initially played this thinking I'd drop it 5 to 10 hours in anyway, but I sat through the entire thing. Either way, I get that RPGs must feel long, but this drags its feet at barely 25 hours. Previous systems and rules are reconstructed throughout to keep the gameplay fresh, which works enough to successfully contain a constant loop cycle. It's also sweet that the game asks if you're done playing after a few minutes despite it being a little bit insistent sorry mom but not turning it off yet.. for the 4th time in a row.
Very simple, but very enjoyable. I was a fan of the original on 3ds but found myself enjoying the new features. I had some problems with some of the new stuff though. I wasn't a fan of the horse part of the party, it felt unnecessary and I largely ignored it. While I enjoyed the tickets, it made the upset mechanic entirely worthless. The only major issue I had was with the second act, losing the old party and the classes I was stuck with had me take a break from the game entirely, but overall I really enjoyed the game with its job and friendship mechanics.
A shallow RPG with quirkiness as its sole draw. There isn't a single time in the main story where strategy is required or even allowed, the mechanics seem to be trying to encourage switching out your party but only succeed at randomly locking you out of random party members for no reason, and the game is so repetitive that I haven't felt a hint of desire to play the postgame since fighting the final boss. Every mechanic introduced feels like the devs are saying "we know the game is easy, but it's not easy enough yet". The game's quirky nature isn't even particularly funny, and it's all the game has going for it besides the novelty of letting you choose the face of every character.
Miitopia isn't very deep, or very difficult (at least until postgame), but it's a lot of fun. Speaking as someone with original characters of my own, being able to assign them roles and see them interact in funny ways was more than enough to hold my interest. In my opinion this is a great game to wind down with at the end of a day.
A good chunk of my time was spent in the extensive Mii creator, which is arguably worth the price of admission in itself if you're willing to experiment and push it to its limit like I was.
Not sure if the new additions would be enough to convince someone who bought it on 3DS to pick it up again, but the very nature of the game means no two playthroughs will be quite the same anyway. I'd definitely recommend giving it a shot if you want something lighthearted and fun.
