7.5/10
Good game, beautiful environment and soundtrack.
I'd play more if I could.

A charming and chill puzzle platformer with a simple, but evocative and vibrant art style. There's a few issues - some of the jumps requiring dash seem designed to trick you into overshooting them, the float mechanic is finicky at best, and the game's messaging gets incredibly unsubtle towards the end, but it was still worth the playthrough and the soundtrack honestly slaps.

Plus you can surf on your staff.

the game introduces a lot of fun new mechanics right before the credits roll

Very chilled, very peaceful. Swayed me into a calm state of mind whenever I started playing, which after work, is much appreciated. Imperfect but for a solo effort, it's often awe-inspiring.

Wonderful short little puzzle platforming experience that feels like Journey + The Pathless light. With no story to speak of really, I never cared what was happening at least, it still manages to deliver all the vibes. Controls are relatively smooth and there are just enough interesting new mechanics and traversal abilities to keep it interesting. I also just really dig the art design and creativity of the different creatures, as well the always soothing musical score. I appreciate not every game trying to be difficult and allowing the player to have a chill 5 hours, explore thoroughly, and achieve a Platinum trophy for their efforts.

A brief, but rewarding puzzle platformer.

Not my type of game. Just got bored Playing.

Cute little Indie Game, some riddles and a very easy gameplay. The characters are very cute and the platin is an easy run :)

A pretty game with strong sound design and a charming, colourful world filled with a variety of critters. Unfortunately let down by janky and stilted movement that makes the moment to moment gameplay awkward and platforming frustrating. Improves towards the end with an exhilarating teleport mechanic, but the jump remains frustrating throughout

A nice, chill platformer. It gets a little less chill as it goes on but the vibes were good, solid sense of atmosphere and a nice soundtrack. It kind of reminded me of Journey.

Nothing groundbreaking but a very peaceful and simple puzzle platformer.

Gamer Tag (nome no xbox): xTiuJow557

Completed with 100% of achievements unlocked (1,000G). Omno is a serene and beautiful 3D puzzle-platformer, set across 10 remote environments, tasking the player to collect a set of magic orbs through a combination of fairly simple but satisfying platforming and object-manipulation puzzles. New abilities are learnt as you start each new area, bringing new mechanics through which the puzzles are implemented - along the lines of dashing, teleports and floating - and each of these feels great in motion. A gentle, well-judged soundtrack complements the explorative action, while a very simple yet emotive story and lore makes the world all the more intriguing and satisfying to progress though. It's fairly short, taking well under ten hours even with a completionist approach, but all in all, Omno would be an impressive release from a modestly-sized indie studio; that this in fact comes from a sole developer is a fairly stunning achievement.

actually just isn't a video game, you walk around and can't interact with the world

Played on PS5

A Magical Experience
If you played Journey, Omno is the perfect game for you. I played Journey, and I loved it. I played the other Journey like games as well. One of the most known games is Abzu but I have to say, Omno felt like the true spiritual successor to Journey for me. And I will try to tell you why I feel this way.

Like Journey, Omno’s story isn’t too clear. But there are some differences. There is no voice acting in the game but there are some collectible lore pieces. And they do help you to understand more about this world. And the ending of the game is emotionally strong. But still, Omno is not a game to be played for it’s story.

It’s a game to be played for it’s gameplay. Omno has 10 levels, each of them are nice, wide spaces with a bunch of collectibles in them. And your goal is to collect all! There are orbs, in order to move into the next level you need at least 3 of them. There are those lore pieces I mentioned, there are also meditation points. These are one per level and it would be wise to go to this first actually because it shows you all the orbs on your map.

And probably the best one of these collectibles, the creatures. There are 41 creatures to interact with in the game. They are adorable, magical, mighty. Interactions with them are so cool and most of them are also very funny. Collecting things was never boring because the environment changed rapidly. There are forests, lakes, snowy areas, desert areas, temples and more. Also, levels are not too big, perfect for smaller gameplay sessions.

I was very hooked on with the game so I finished it in one sitting but it might also be your comfort game where you can start it, complete one level in like 15-20 minutes and then leave. One final and crucial thing in the collectibles not being boring, the abilities. The game adds new abilities every 2 levels. The first ability is a nice dash ability. And there is also a float ability. I will leave the rest 2 for you to discover. They are the cooler ones.

Oh and by the way, getting these collectibles will require you to solve puzzles or platforming challenges, both are easy, this game is not that difficult so don’t worry. The game looks absolutely gorgeous, I loved the art direction. The music is also great. The platinum is easy. There are a few missables but chapter select is available and they are actually very basic things.

Other than those, just get 100%. You don’t need a guide, it’s very easy and very relaxing. So the game is not only a great game but it also has an easy platinum. What more do you want? Before the verdict, there is one minor thing. I had a bug in the final epilogue level. I couldn’t progress.

I tried a lot and thought something was weird. I exited back to the main menu, when I came back, I was at the end of the level. So that was a bit unfortunate but other than that, I had zero issues. No bugs, no glitches, no frame rate issues or anything like that.

Omno is a very relaxing, very fun exploration based puzzle/platforming game. It’s currently one of my favorite games of 2021 and I definitely recommend it to basically anyone. It has great art direction and great music too. This is an experience worth going through and I’m so happy that I got to play it. Something even better, the game is available on PS Plus Extra right now. I would give it a chance.

Visually beautiful, fun gameplay, and very stylish. Also pretty short, but still worth your time.

cute! it's basically journey but a little different i suppose, it's pretty nice. the soundtrack could've been better though
