No lo jugue pero todos dicen que es una verga y yo ni compro con la opinion de las masas

Better than Soyfield and Fallout 76.

people do nothing but bitch and moan about bethesda but remember this was the shit interplay was putting out

Really wish I can purge this from my memory. One of the worst games I've ever played.

I drunkenly played this game with a friend at 3am, and even then, it was completely irredeemable. Not fun to play, not fun to laugh at. Just bad. Don't waste your time.

The OTHER much-maligned Fallout title. Like the more recent 76, Brotherhood of Steel is a spin-off in the series that earned the ire of the fanbase for experimenting with a different style of gameplay. It's a hack 'n slash dungeon crawler in the vein of Diablo, and while that's not exactly what one would expect from the IP that doesn't make it a bad game.

In fact, it's quite good at what it does. There's a lot of loot, tons of monsters to kill, cool environments to explore, and even two player couch co-op. It's not perfect by any means. There are plenty of odd deficiencies like a lack of music throughout most of the game and I have to wonder why they bothered with a dialog tree when all the options lead to the same outcome and you can't define your character in any way. However, as long as you are willing to accept the fact that this isn't a choice-based RPG like the main entries in the series this can satisfy your craving for action in a wackier version post-apocalyptic world you've come to love over the years.

Stylistically this is a fascinating take on the franchise. It's like some bootleg version of Fallout with the tone of a B-movie. The game is packed with immature humor and the creature designs look like they were made with the intention of being just similar enough to the rest of the series to trick the uninformed, while also trying to avoid a plagiarism lawsuit despite the fact that this came directly from Interplay themselves. So while the arrival of 76 may mean this can no longer be considered the worst Fallout, it will always be the weirdest. That alone might make it worth playing for some.

The franchise, while largely more serious than this overall, has always had some absurd humor thrown in here and there. So it's kind of fun to see Brotherhood of Steel fully embrace the more ridiculous side of the nuclear apocalypse. Now, I'm not saying this is going to be every Fallout fan's cup of tea. It's just that none of it is outright broken or unplayable so I feel the hate this game has received over the years has been flat out excessive, rather unearned, and largely derived more from what it isn't as opposed to what it actually is. Which is unfair considering it legitimately does a pretty good job at the whole Diablo/Gauntlet thing.

8/10

Y'know what? I was expecting so much worse. People talk about this game like it's a barely functional trashfire that has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. And while it's not a good game by any stretch of the imagination, it's nowhere near that bad. The levels are too long, the combat is overly simple, the writing is pretty bad, and every other aspect of the game can be summed up as just plain "bad". But it's not unplayable. It's not a trashfire. It's not an unmitigated disaster like I was lead to believe it is. It was interesting to see it first hand and now I plan on never thinking about this game ever again.

Theres a reason people call it Fallout POS.

This game has some charm that I do like but the gameplay really is just atrocius. Also the misogyny. Dear lord the misogyny. I'm actually surprised so many Fallout fans hate this game considering you don't even need to mod all the women into having big titties and skimpy outfits. They come that way pre-packaged. I actually REALLY like the weapon designs though. When I found that homemade laser rifle I nearly came. I need that shit modded into New Vegas and 4 asap.

It is so bad that I have become immune to Bethesda Fallout criticism.

damn it is pretty bad,bad gameplay, rpg mechanics, writing so bad that it borders in ironic, but i dont think is the worst fallout, actually i said that is not that much worse than fallout 4

jesus fucking christ how did this get greenlit what

everything about this game's existence is so funny
from the fact the engine used was used without permission, the possibility that this game contributed to Van Buren being cancelled, how it represents Interplay's genuinely stupid move, the promotional tie-ins that remove Nuka-Cola, to the fact that this is probably the least Fallout Fallout.

This game just sucks. Disregarding the fact that it's a bad Fallout game, it's just a terrible game in general. Combat is floaty, the story is non-existent, and too much of the game relies on awkward isometric platforming. Unless you're a die-hard Fallout fan like me, don't bother.

Interplay decided again to use a stolen engine from Snowball, creators of Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance, and adopt yet another "popular isometric RPG franchise" into diablo clone adoption. While it has its interesting moments, and also some minor improvements over the original Dark Alliance, it in general very meh game at best, made on a very limited budget. A true peak of creative crisis of "old" fallout which led to its ultimate destruction and death of Interplay. Honestly, they deserved it. Even if this game was ideally made, it'd get 4-4.5 at max. But with this simple yet crappy combat, issues with assets and levels score of 1.5 stars would be honest. Technically, it is playable tho, it is not one of those "unplayable" games.
