Kids isn't really a game it's more of an interactive art piece and I'm fine with that. The game shows different areas of childhood and how kids behave when the pressures of society are on them. Each scene depicts a different experience and shows the emotions felt by the figures. It's an interesting experience and something I'm glad I played, but I would only get it when it's on sale.

A short black and white combination of a videogame and art project I can only describe as deeply unsettling.

i like the the strange feelings this game gave me. at some point the clapping kids start to look like wriggling bugs.

Textural, discomforting yet hilarious, satisfying then frustrating. A lovely piece of work.

I wish there was a bit more mechanical depth to properly do the themes depicted here justice, but it's still a very cool game that uniquely illustrates the power of peer pressure / going with the crowd

Not amazing, but cute. Feels like a little flash game you'd find mid-2000s.

A short interactive game, more than completely related to the crowd syndrome in children, and in general among people like that. An ambiguous art project, the boundary between interactive entertainment and gaming products that do not fulfill this primary role begins to be lost, allowing such games to exist. Whether it’s good or bad, everyone needs to choose their own.

i still have no idea what it means

Glad I got this refunded. A weird basically barely interactive animation. Was looking forward to checking this out and had it on my saved games for a while, but there was barely anything to it. Experimental and uncomfortable.

Plug & Play se fosse um pouco menos doido, legalzinho gostei.

Bom para passar tempo, curtinho e criativo.

Oh, how I love to shove kids into bottomless holes~

Feels more like an art piece than a game.

Less of a game and more of an interactive animation, as described by the developers themselves, but not particularly remarkable even under that label? You'll wish it were more tactile to interact with, that it did more with its themes of conformity and/or social pressure, and you'll especially wish it were a little longer overall. Very nicely produced animation and sound work, somewhat reminiscent of the work of Keith Haring and of late 00s flash games, if nothing else!

esse jogo deve ser uma metáfora pra algo muito cabeça e provavelmente algum youtuber de video ensaio fez uma analise de 3 horas sobre isso, mas eu pessoalmente não entendi e eu to ok com isso

I can't believe they did it, they made a videogame based on my favorite image on the internet.

I for one do enjoy my dose of surrealism from time to time, I really think that as a form of art and expression, it can give us some of the most interesting looks of our reality and society. But there's surrealism, and then there's just there's just bullshit that happens for no reason, and Kids... it sure did happen, it sure as hell a game that it exists and I played!

But ok, maybe it's a bit too precipitated to call it surrealism, hell, it may be too precipitated to even call it a game. Kids describes itself as an ''Interactive Animation'', but even looking it with those lens it still... I still don't really understand it. There's a clear a message about crowds, peer pressure and even isolation at a young age here, all interesting and powerful themes on their own rights, but the way it's all conveyed just... doesn't work for me. I know very well that for some it did, there are some people that liked this game, but it was impossible for me to see it.

Plug & Play, which still has a lot of problems and I consider it far from perfect, at least it tackled relationships and sexuality in an original yet confusing way, it was far from perfect but it at least it something with those ideas. In Kids things... happen... they happen one, or two, or three times but it doesn't have any strength to it, or maybe they do, for some people did, but not for me... Oh god my head hurts again...

It's impossible for me to call it terrible, 'cause at the end of the day, as so many other reviews here have called it, it's... neat. It's interesting for the first couple of minutes, some moments are simple but interesting, the animation is cool, it's ffffffffffffffffffffffffine. It works, it functions, it’s not a terrible time at all, but despite its brevity it feels to long, and even if does have themes, it didn't really say anything with them.

It sucks that I really can't see the genius that some few people have seen here, and who knows, maybe as time passes, I'll be able to appreciate it a bit more... I don't think that'll be the case, and maybe I'll just forget about it in a few hours.

Who knows...
