gotta love how people are still getting filtered by the ending lol

oh my god my past review of this game sucks ASS i am rewriting it lmao.

but yeah this is the best danganronpa game hands down, its definitely a game defined in my head by its ending (which is the dopest shit ever fuck you) but the lead up to that has some of the coolest cases in any dangan game, literally only 2/6 trials id mark in my head as like "standard" and the rest are great.

these games are very much about catching you off guard and making some really good/stupid "how fucked would you be if u were in this situation" hypotheticals and this one delivers the best out of the 3, easily

appreciate the attempt with the characters and with a meaningful ending but neither of those are well put together

and i mean we already had the first danganronpa

Love and hate this game...

Danganronpa V3 was a tough game to finish.

I started playing after watching the anime, and I liked what I saw. The story was interesting, the characters were as fun as ever, and the music was energetic and catchy. However, I put the game down after a while because I burnt myself out on the series.

I picked it up recently, and I'm happy to say that V3 may just be my favorite game of the series. I grew attached to the cast and was surprised by all the twists that the game kept throwing at me. I even liked the ending, despite being hard to follow at times. V3 is like a rollercoaster. It's an exciting ride from start to finish, despite messing with your head.

Sadly, some things keep this game from being perfect. The Monokubs are annoying and disrupt the flow of the story. They'll chime in and make some stupid jokes that halt the story. I know Monokuma (and the students) did that in previous games, but the difference there is that Monokuma was fun to watch. These little shitstains were not.

I'm also not a fan of how lengthy the trials were. I still enjoyed them a lot (in fact, some of these trials are my all-time favorites), but MAN do they drag. They follow the same pattern of examining evidence, arguing, occasionally lying, and having characters make jokes before discovering the culprit. Past games did this before (and in similar fashions), but V3 made it more noticeable and stretched it out quite a bit.

Danganronpa V3 may not be to everyone's liking, but I had a ton of fun with it. Even with the issues I previously mentioned, they weren't enough to drag down the experience for me. If you're a Danganronpa fan who somehow hasn't played this game, I implore you to play this game. You may not like everything, and some choices may piss you off, but it's worth it in the end.

9/10

No piece of media has hit me as hard emotionally as this motherfucker right here

Amazing game, but sends me into a wave of depression. Deducted a point because of the monocubs making a joke out of rape and abuse.

Wow, what an insane emotional rollercoaster!

Just like the second part, this one doesn't really add too much new to the series, either, but I was totally fine with that. I think 'Danganronpa' has already reinvented the genre as much as possible, and the fun characters and crazy plot twists more than make up for the predictability in gameplay.

To be completely honest, I wasn't a huge fan of the ending and the last chapter all in all, but I have to admit it was a clever way to end the story and the final mystery. I have absolutely no idea how they could possibly build up on this outcome in a sequel, though, we'll see.

Ultimately, a great game and a great trilogy, and, as far as I'm concerned, easily on par with the 'Zero Escape' trilogy. Strongly recommended (of course, ONLY after you played the first two)!

Me queje mucho del final pero luego de analizarlo bien es una excelente forma de finalizar con broche de oro mi saga favorita de videojuegos. Probablemente sea mi videojuego favorito pues es simplemente el resultado de una saga que mejora con cada titulo.

My favorite ending in any VN tbh.

The thing with the danganronpa series is that you don't need to get TOO invested into the actual plot itself. I'd rather it have a hilarious plot like it does than it become too serious.

Even with that said the characters are super likeable and great.

best/worst cast and by FAR the best plot, the only one with true staying power

Centrism?
Guess I can roll with that

porque la follada hicisteis esto

i want rantaro to beat the shit out of me

I'm still trying to parse my feelings regarding the ending of this game
Update
I've decided the ending is extremely good

if you hate the ending you're a coward

Best Game in the series by far and as well the most divisive, AND I LOVE IT. Super strong and and an amazing visual novel. It's just that good, and that's no lie.

It feels like the game tries so hard to make a unique start and end, that it ultimately shoots itself in the foot, both in how the middle part is aggressively formulaic, and how it is kinda impossible to continue the series from this point on as a fan

A pesar de un giro inicial que deja un mal sabor de boca y de los típicos elementos incómodos de la saga, ha acabado siendo mi entrega favorita. Tiene el mejor ritmo, los mejores casos, y una recta final tremenda.

two steps forward and two steps back from danganronpa 2. worst trials/story but probably has the best character interactions in the series
